In short: Nice race for a beginner - not too scary!!
In full: The hill at the end was hard!! But I managed it and made it round the 10km in 60 mins which was my goal!! (The goody bag had no goodies, just leaflets) but I am wearing my TShirt with pride!

In short: Enjoyable race with nasty incline at the finish
In full: Personally I found this race to be well organised, the marshalls were keen and it had PB potential (i knocked 43sec off mine). Yes the goody bag was a few leaflets but you did receive a t-shirt in the right size, a sweet and as much fruit as you wanted. I'm never a fan of energy gels.
The incline did go on for what seemed to be forever but it's all good training and makes you stronger! I would do this race again and maybe look to race in one of the trail runs next year.

In short: results??
In full: I don't normally mind when the results go up online, but in the race info it actually said "within 24 hours", so why put that in there and then have no results up on the website??

In short: It isn't a FAST course
In full: Pleasant enough race (I did the 10k) and stewards etc all great but couple of minor moans - the steep and long (1km) hill towards the end of the lap took a major effort and killed the pace so not in any way a fast course. Not a problem as it is all good training but irked that it is almost sold as a fast PB course, even during the pre race briefing. First race I have done where there was no medal, just an awful T shirt, which I will never wear. Medals are so much better, T shirts should be an optional extra. The goody bag was dire, it was a paper bag with a leaflet.

In short: Nice route, although challenging at the end.
In full: I thought before the race that it may have PB potential, and as a result gunned it off. The last 4k were a bit hard and seemed to finish me off. Overall its a nice race and very well organised although I personally don't feel it has PB potential, if that's what you are looking for.

In short: good training race
In full: I was doing this purely as a training race for Berlin marathon, so I got exactly what I came for. I have been on other runs that had more interesting scenery, and I have to say I thought it was a bit tight to not even include a banana or a Mars bar at the end, I know it only cost £12 to enter, but still, one pesky Penguin didn't realy give me a glowing feeling! It is quite a small run though, so considering that, the organisation waas fine, the marshals were very nice, the route was clear, and it did what it said on the tin. I'd run it again if I was in training, not as a fun day out.

In short: Pb potential if you have stamina near the end..
In full: I did the 20k. Excellent marshalling and a small field. But I loved it. Some very fast bits makes this pb potential... But that hill near the end of the loop means you need to have stamina for that 1 km climb! Felt very very tough second time. Nice charming feel to the race in lively villages in Warwickshire. Potentially expensive for a local race but more runners hopefully will make it cheaper

In short: Wet, muddy but good fun for a Saturday morning adventure
In full: First of all I would like to thank the organisers for a good race and particularly the marshals who recognised I was going to miss the start and did everything they could so I only just missed it. The first couple of kilometres involved slightly overgrown single track paths in the woods (I’ve got the cuts from the brambles to show for it) and then it was mixed up with paths/tracks and fields. The horse trodden fields did make it tough on the ankles and the mud by the gates meant a kilo of weight on your trainers. With the gates to jump over as well the course was certainly a challenge. It seemed to me that 7k to 9k was short and due to not paying attention and following others missed the gate to the field up to 9k although we did hop over the next available gate from the road. Certainly threw about 10 of us!! A marshal was posted there later after it was mentioned. It was a shame the field wasn’t bigger as I enjoyed the race and the company of the other runners; it was a nice friendly atmosphere.
