In short: For a first effort, great race. Well organised, friendly atmosphere and I look forward to next year.
In full: Well done to the FoSRS for organising the 1st Stoke Row 10k. Interesting course with a couple of lung busters dotted round the track. Looking forward to next year where I am sure some of the feedback will be incorporated.

In short: Stoke Row's first organised 10k - Excellent Event!
In full: Low key run around this beautiful village near Henley on Thames.

For a first event, it was well attended (170+), well marshalled, well laid out and all very friendly and welcoming. Proceeds went to the school - where the race started and finished, so no better reason for getting out and about for such a good cause. Very impressed and will definitely come back next year. Well done to all involved!

In short: Excellent, Good route and mixture of terrains
In full: Really enjoyed the race. Although this was the first running I think the organisation was excellent.Shame about the medals but I am not sure that was down to the RACE organisers. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Low key local first year number, mildly downhill first 5k,
In full: I would stay away from Frieth in October if you thought today was hard Amanda!

2nd today in about 37:56, so 38 seconds down on Wooburn 10k 2 weeks ago.
Low key nature race for the first year of this one, no local big name running faces!

First 5k seemed mostly downhill, hence my splits of 17:45 and then 20:11 for the second half! The second half had a few more climbs but nothing too major, proper undulation on road until about 6k when 3k of woodland kicked in combined with one lap of a grassy field.

Then a last 1k with a climb back up to the same place the race started, so must have involved the same amount of uphill as downhill.

A nice little low key sunday number.

No prize for 1st let alone 2nd was a downer, as surely that is standard, it doesn't have to be anything too grand, just a little trophy or 2.

Also only ordering 50 medals is pretty naive, as racing is very popular at the current time, so would hate to have been 51st to what I believe ran to 140th.

In short: Undulating is an understatement - one of the toughest 10k races I have done , but then I have only done half a dozen!
In full: The section throught he woods was particularly gruelling, very hilly with some very steep slppery downhills to contend with. The last km seemed to be almost vertical, and was a killer.
