In short: Really well organised run, worth coming from Brighton for!
In full: Really well organised run, worth coming from Brighton for!Managed a pb as well. It is a nice run with long stretches of gentle downhill and very little perceptible uphill - except for a bit at the end. Great organisation, liked the medal and the t-shirt. Thank you to the organisers.

In short: Enjoyable 1st time, some bad points but mostly good.
In full: This was my first race and only the 3rd time I'd run 10K, so very surprised to come in at 55:40. Felt a little awkward at the start as I was expecting signs to say where the fastest should run and where the slowest should run. Nearly 4 mins after the gun start, I got to the start line, but that didn't worry me at all. Half way around the course, got caught between runners when the front one decided to stop, causing me to jump aside so I didn't run into her. Person behind then complained that "the slow runners should stay at the back and the fast ones shouldn't run inbetween". Well, sorry that I didn't keep to your speed - it is a race after all! Well signposted and an excellent route to get around. Some of the assistants were cheering us on, which was a great boost! Got to the end, the scrabble to get a bag, then a t-shirt, lose the tag and get a drink was a mess. Needs better organisation next time. One complaint about an assistant - the one giving out water - was more interested in serving the women than the men and smartarse comments like "ladies first" doesn't wash when you've watched at least 15 women arrive after you and walk away with a drink whilst you're standing right in front of him.

Will definitely do the race again next year!

In short: Good race in runner-friendly Sefton Park.
In full: Preferred previous course that included Princes Park, but this is fine and Sefton Park scenery is excellent.
Organisation was good but why can't the funnel at the start be wider? - it took me nearly 2 minutes to reach the start and I wasn't near the back and it's not as if we turn out onto narrow roads.
Also drinks, goody bag etc areas not well highlighted at the end - it was only after I got home that I realised that I hadn't collected my medal!
It was better to be able to park near the start/finish area rather than being bussed in.

In short: new pb
In full: Good route around the park, pathways wide but lots of potholes. The event was busy but no atmosphere basically arrived to crowds around marquees for baggage and a few dodgey catering vans. Then the commentator asked everyone to line up fastest at the front everyone stood there for 15minutes no music just chatting. The event started on time, the course was fine and the general park users were great supporters shame about the stewards who were miserable and stood around smoking and texting. At the end of the event it was chaotic everyone crowding around to get their chip cut off and crossing each other to get thshirts and bags no logic here at all everyone was just trying to get out but couldnt. Could have been much better organised. Getting out of the car park was manic too as the stewards werent really paying attention. A good course shame about the organisation of the event field itself. I would maybe do again if less chaos
