In short: Fantastic, again, even if I knew what I was in for this time.
In full: Brilliant, challenging, race. Not so much of a race as an afternoon out with good friends, none of which you've met before. Friendly supportive marshals and runners alike, each recognising each other's achievement no matter what level you're on. Beginner friendly because of its atmosphere, not its terrain.

In short: Great value, great race!
In full: Very challenging race. It gets tougher & hillier mile after mile. Could do with a few more arrows in places to keep runners on course. I managed to clock 23.5 miles after following somebody and getting a little lost. What's an extra couple of miles though. The coach to the start line is a great bonus at a sensible price.

In short: Blew me away, almost literally!
In full: First attempt at the challenge, I'm not the strongest runner but found I coped quite well. The stunning views and great support from locals and runners alike was awesome. Definitely doing it next year with some adequate prep, if there is such a thing! Legs still aching a week on!

In short: A big challenge and a big sense of accomplishment at the end.
In full: Never done anything like this before, both in terms of distance and terrain, but thought it was brilliant. It certainly was a challenge in the second half with all the big climbs, but a great sense of achievement at the end.

In short: Hills and even more hills!!!!
In full: First timer here and will be back, had a fantastic day but this was seriously hard. Many thanks to Sidmouth running club, the marshalls and the support, and let' not forget the scenery which was breathtaking.

In short: Wow! (and if ever that word is not enough, now is that time). You cannot run a more challenging route and still come away thinking it was fabulous.
In full: Madmudrunner (below) says: '...miles of coastline to be seen...' After coming out of Sidmouth about half-way, look west and the start is beyond sight; look east and the finish is beyond sight... you run the entire stretch of visible coast... and more, and just look at that profile.
Such a warm, local, low-key event. The starting team were at the first water station and more, and despite the geographical challenges I also spotted lots of the same supporters at each checkpoint. No fuss, just good support, well organised, felt one of the family.
Yes, second half includes some killer hills. And the downhills are just as bad.
Prepare. Enjoy.

In short: Brutal hilly second half with fantastic views..if you've got the breath to look.
In full: Incredibly hard second half when just about everyone must have to walk at least part of the sheer coastal climbs. Fantastic sea views and very good value for money. One you'll never forget completing!

In short: Very, very hilly, gorgeous scenery. Definite challenge!
In full: Brilliant low-key race, absolutely rock hard. Second half has some "playful" hills, only the stupidly super-fit can run then (or possibly just the stupid...). Beautiful weather allowed miles of coastline to be seen, and other runners off in the distance! One of the must-do races for those who like a challenge.
Many thanks to the marshals on the water stations and at the finish, the jelly babies and biscuits were very much appreciated! Thanks to all at Sidmouth for organising the race, I hope to be back again next year. :)
