In short: Superbly organised, great friendly race at a fantastic price.
In full: great race this one. I belong to another local club and have to say that this was well worth turning out for and Im pleased many in our club thought so too. The race mixes cross country ability with a bit of road running, some trail running and style hopping. The race was pretty damm muddy but hey ho, that's what its all about. The marshalls were really supporting with a good shout whenever you see one. Some chose to run in costumes and would I of known I would of added to that as it gave it a good feel. Well done SCH, great race at great value, £1 a mile? cant run a car for that these days

In short: Mud and cowpats. Great!
In full: A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere race. Great route, with lots of twists and turns across pretty muddy fields with the odd stretch of road thrown in. I think the multiple stiles were useful for a quick rest but they do tend to upset the rhythm a bit too. At the end of the day, any race where you are handed a bottle of ale as you finish has got to be worth the effort to get muddy for! Great fun!

In short: Mostly flat run through muddy fields and a bit on roads. Not too tough....but you know you've been in a run at the finish. Lots of smiles....and one or two screams from the ladies stuck in the mud!!!
