In short: Very well organised, great event
In full: Loads of enthusiastic Marshalls, drinks station around half way, T shirt, Soup & bottle of water at the finish, one of the best marshalled/organised/value events I've done in a long time. No distance markers is about the only point to improve I can think of.

In short: November morning well spent
In full: The organisation accompanied by friendly & encouraging marshals was top class. Great cross country course that was challenging in places, those bomb craters took some determination to charge up. There are not many races I get to the finishing line smiling without a care of my time but this certainly was. Raise my hat to Tom Dable for a great sprint finish. An extremely enjoyable morning, thank you very much Sphinx.

In short: A heartwarmer to replace the heartbreaker
In full: A great run in woodland & on grass. I'd expected knee-deep bog after the recent rain, but conditions underfoot were nigh on perfect. You can trust Sphinx to put on a decent event.

In short: Brilliant replacement for The Hartshill Heartbreak.
In full: The Hartshill Heatbreak was one of my favorite races so I was disappointed when it vanished from the calender. However, Sphinx AC have managed to put on a great race as a replacement. Wonderful venue, not as tough as many multi-terrains but the use of some of the WW2 bomb craters in the final third help to make up for that. Nicely organised £8 buys parking (normally a few quid here), the race entry, a T shirt, bottle of water and a cup of soup. Excellent value - but don't tell everyone the venue can't cope with huge numbers.

In short: The organisers deserve huge praise for putting on this excellent race. Fantastic, varied course over some nice countryside. Very well organised - one of the best races I have done and I hope this becomes a regular feature!
