In short: Great course, great atmosphere and enjoyable as always. All I need now is a lift so I can enjoy the hog roast and beers afterwards!

In short: Very good overall - as usual !
In full: As usual, a well organised event with great atmosphere and a (nicely coloured this year)memento at the end. Definitely a must-do each year for me.

Two suggestions though;
1 - Keep spectators away from the area behind the village hall after the race. With the number of runners it was tricky to get through amidst the buggies and bikes of the well wishers.

2 - The car park marshals had left the scene when it was time to depart. Cars were trying to get into the car park whilst the majority were trying to leave which was causing problems back through the village

In short: A real 'feel good' 10k
In full: This is a great race in a wonderful village. The organisation was great, the traffic-free route was lovely, plus you get chip-timing and a t-shirt for a very reasonable entry fee (with all proceeds going to the local school and other community organisations). After you've raced you can re-fuel on hog roast/fish & chips/sandwiches/tea and cake or have a go on the coconut shy or tombola; what more could you ask for?!?

In short: A great 10k which you could see in the turn out of runners and supporters, but get there early.
In full: The Hatfield 10k has alot going for it, a lovely course with a few inclines through the Essex countryside and a fantastic atmosphere with very vocal, local support. Getting there early is a must as it's pretty busy due to the village fete occuring at the same time. The start is a bit crowded due to the popularity and starting in the village but once out on the roads it seems to fly by. Definitely worth running.
