In short: it was alright I s'pose
In full: OK, I'm joking, it was absolutely brilliant. I totally agree with the reviewer who said that you are made to feel 'like' one of the family. Martin and Sue are wonderful and it was a great moment at the finish to have them both there welcoming us back. Definate PB potential (seriously, how many flat 45milers are there??) and the scenery is outstanding, honest!! I'll be living off the endorphins from this event for months, if not years.

In short: Brilliant day out. Slick organisation. Hard as course, great fun! Very friendly.
In full: What a superb race this was. It was my first ultra so I was rather worried that I may be out the back quickly and way out of my depth. There was no such worries at all. Very friendly atmosphere helped out by brilliant organisers. The course was tough as nails, even the flat bits seemed hard work. The weather ruined the views but it is south Wales in November! And this helped out as I would not fancy running this in sunny weather. Hats off to the marshals out on the hill tops. Good quality embroidered polo shirt for finishing a well stocked and friendly free tea/coffee/cake stand-thank you.

In short: If you want to try and ultra but you're not sure - this is the one to have a go at ...
In full: My second ultra, brilliant for Ultra-newbies. Plenty of challenges and aches in all the right places but organised by a wonderful team who are so so friendly (you almost feel part of the family!); lots of banter and support on the way round, gr8 goody-bag and prizes. Would absolutely do this one again.

In full: Everything about the race was amazing. The staff at Likeys.com did a fab job of putting this event on !!

The only thing I'd add to the race would be a medal.

In short: If you only ever do one Ultra, make it the Beacons Ultra.
In full: You couldn't ask for better introduction to the world of (very) long distance. It's much harder than Ironman and organised by some really friendly people. Brutally hard.
