In short: Great little race across the Humber and back In full: Really enjoyed this race and got an unexpected PB. Make sure you enjoy the views on the trip to the south bank as the return journey is a bit of a slog. Well done to Hull AC for the organisation and marshalling etc... Date of review: June 10, 2013
In short: Excellent race, unique views In full: Another PB a week after my previous one. This race is not pancake flat and the climb back from Lincolnshire to the middle of the bridge is challenging but it's worth it as the last 2 miles are basically downhill. The organisation and facilities were excellent and I'll definitely do it again if I get chance. Date of review: June 10, 2013
In short: Ideal conditions today, small race, good organisation, PB by over 1m 30s In full: First time I've run in a non-chip race, friendly feel around the place, parked down the foreshore for a quick getaway afterwards. Date of review: June 9, 2013
In short: Thoroughly enjoyable but could be a pig if bad weather on the bridge In full: A great race with a wonderful view from the Humber bridge for the majority of the race. The bridge does seem to be all uphill though!! Could be difficult if very windy and wet as no shelter as you are so high up. Overall I will happily do again next year. Date of review: June 17, 2012
In short: Good day out, great scenery! In full: Did this one today, enjoyed it! Bit windy on the bridge which made things harder. I'm not a beginner but I'm nothing special, and I managed to get round OK, knocking 8sec from my PB which was good. Recommended but perhaps not as a first race. Great views though! In short: First 10k of 2008 and worth the wait In full: Only my second 10k, and an 8 month gap from the first one, I was sure that I would struggle with this race, even though the race itself is fairly flat.
There's a little climb away from the start up to Ferriby Road but the effort comes at the 5k mark when you head back towards the North Bank.
Apart from that, if this had been a clear day, it would have been time to sit back and enjoy the views.
I'll certainly be back in 2009. Date of review: June 3, 2008
