In short: Chilly, but friendly trot through pleasant terrain. Nice pub close by too.

In short: Freezing, friendly and lots of fun! Would definitely return.
In full: Fantastic and cheerful marshals, lovely local atmosphere and a gorgeous route make this a fantastic way to wind up 2009. Thanks so much and see you next year!

In short: Glorious scenery and a nice atmosphere
In full: -4C at the start according to my car's thermometer. Despite that, a beautiful clear sky and bright sun made this a lovely run through Oxon countryside from Hooky to the Rollrights. Friendly marshalls and good spirits from the runners (lots of club runners). A bit slippy in places - I saw one runner take a tumble on the road. Overall, I will definitely be back next year!

In short: Love this run, and today's snowy views made it all the more lovely
In full: I ran this as a beginer last year and couldn't wait to run it again this year. Very clubby but definitely welcoming to all (I'm not a club runner).

It's not an easy run, a few ups and downs and the terrain is interesting but it is really worth it.

This is one of my favourite runs, along with the Midsummer Munro and the Derwent Valley tour.

In short: Excellent race - quite tough and very cold. Wasn't sure it would run due to conditions but good fun.
In full: I would have preferred mile markers or maybe just one or two at 2 and 4 miles, otherwise it's difficult to guage. Also, and quite rightly given the weather conditions, the organisers preferred the runners not to use MP3s. However, this did make it more difficult for runners such as myself who use tracks to help pace the distance. This is a smalll point in an otherwise really enjoyable event - once I'd got there in the icy conditions. Also, well done to the organisers for sticking with the race: it would have been easy to call it off.

In short: lots of snow and ice - a mixed blessing that made for great scenery.
In full: Well done to the organisers for not calling it off in the conditions.
