In short: very scenic, gently undulating course. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of support.
In full: As somebody new to running this is a local run for me and so it didn't seem too hilly but speaking to other runners after the race the consensus is it is a fairly challenging race.
I've nothing to compare it to so I'm happy to believe them as it encourages me to keep running. 55 mins was fairly pleasing but meant I was still near the back of the pack but as a fledgling "jogger" of 49 years old there is plenty of scope for me to keep achieving pb's. Hey, I'm even starting to use the lingo. I can't wait for the day when I graduate from jogger to runner.
Beware the fat lad moving through the field. He's out to catch you!

In short: Superb, scenic, friendly, exhilarating: what more do you want?
In full: Fantastic race in great weather - surely this is the most scenic 10k in the country? Quite hilly, and the traffic can be a pain, but this is more than outweighed by the surroundings! And I EVEN managed a PB! *PLEASE SUPPORT THIS LOCAL EVENT!*

In short: A brilliant race on a brilliant day in a brilliant location!!!
In full: This was my first ever running event and I loved it. It was well attended but not over attended and all of the race was on country lanes in the magnificent Langdale valley. It was well organised and most enjoyable. The only down side is that the first 4km is the last 4km but heading the other way, though the scenery was lovely and I didn't mind, it was a bit demoralising to see the fastest runners running past you the other way!!! i would recommend it to anyone of all abilities as a great run which you will remember.

In short: Tough but worth it
In full: My first 10k in Langdale and those hills are alot tougher than i thought, walked many times there and thought i knew it pretty well, how wrong!! Enjoyed it though and weather was glorious, great pint in Stickle Barn after and well deserved i thought.
