In short: Not too shabby, definitely a 'fun run'
In full: Drinks station would have been better positioned on the inside of the bend, not the outside. Has the course been accurately measured? Decent event though, lovely surroundings, that hill just after the drinks station is a challenge, twice!

In short: Too much tarmac!
In full: A nice friendly race but with approx 7k of tarmac, albeit traffic free, I found it a little boring. There was just a bit of grass at the start and about 1/3 mile through wooded area. I probably wouldn't do it again. That said, I have done a lot of trail runs so I am comparing it with them and I try and target runs that are 100% off road. It was also two laps, which makes it less enjoyable scenery wise. It was definately beginner friendly.

In short: Beautiful scenery. Good organisation & v.friendly staff (apart from one member of the public...see notes!)!)
In full: Nothing like the smell of horses and pounding pavement at the same time! I am a horsey person so seeing gorgeous well maintained Polo horses out for their daily walk was a pleasure in itself.
Nice views, however I am not always keen on 'lap' races, the beautiful scenery made up for this!
Great atmosphere and encouraging marshalls and staff, not so sure about some sideline members of the public....whilst running my 2nd lap a man shouted from the dark depths of the woods, "only 4 more laps to go"! Felt like dragging him along with me!!

In short: Really good undulating route
In full: This was my very first race and it was a brilliant one to start with. The atmosphere was very friendly and there was a good mix of club runners and individuals (like me!). I have now got the race bug, thank you Ciren!
