In short: Nice local race through the countryside
In full: Good organisation and marshalling just as last year, and the bridleway sections were much nicer to run thanks to the lack of mud. I think the mile markers were a bit out of place, but that didn't really matter as I rely on my Garmin these days.

In short: good small local race
In full: apart from a few sharp turners it is a great course, and a good introduction to racing for beginners

In short: good 5k for beginners
In full: can only speak on behalf of one of the few 5k runners but very laid back and friendly and although a bit pricey i was one of the lucky ones who received a very nice medal.
tea cakes and biscuits and a lovely playing field to warm up on was a bonus!

In short: Great "local" race - a few tweaks and it'd be perfect
In full: I really enjoyed this race. Lovely atmosphere, well marshaled and kind and enthusiastic organisers. The race is also run by the village (not a running club) and I think they do a great job.

The course isn't the quickest: a few tight turns and there was some really quite nasty mud in miles 2-3 (which I was forced to mince around as I didn't want to dirty my shoes too much ;-)).

Whilst hilly, the hills weren't as severe as I was expecting (the worst one is within half a mile of the start).

I also think they should have had more medals made. I donated mine to an old chap who finished quite late on as they'd run out. I was more than happy to do this as I didn't need another medal, but I know a lot of the late finishers were a bit upset not to get them.

In short: An easy canter through the stables of Lambourn
In full: Low key event, but well organised, with "most" miles marked, excellent marshalls and no real hills. A few too many twists and turns for a PB, but a great way to spend a morning

In short: Nice event but room for improvement
In full: Having the M4 closed and being diverted taking an extra 20 mins meant turning up at 10.25 for a 10.30 start. As a complete novice noted that most were in club vests so guessed I'd be at the back on this one. Mile markers were mostly fallen down which didn't help with distance and very disappointed that even after pre-registering there was not a medal (I assume they were given out to the first ones back and none left for the back markers) and it would be posted later. Not quite the same as wearing it on the day. Nice route and well marshalled.

In short: Good race in nice countryside
In full: The course was faster than I'd expected - just one significant hill near the start and mostly on a good surface. The organisation and marshalling were good, only one minor criticism: the prize giving wasn't announced very well, half the prize winners almost missed it.

In short: Lovely scenery, well organised, mile markers not clear
In full: This is a great race. The course is very picturesque and the undulations in the course make it both a challenge but also interesting. No spectators around the course but prob to be expected as much is on coutry roads..? Only issue was the lack of clearly labelled mile markers, did not see the mile 4 marker at all... which is a shame as it is good to be able to "push" that last mile. Overall great atmosphere !

In short: Nice run
In full: Nice run and a nice crowd. Didnt see many spectators but the marshalls were good.

Went the wrong way at the one mile mark. Very sharp turn my fault more than anything
