In short: Well organised bargain run
In full: No signs or route marshals, just sheets of concise directions, but once you get the hang of them, it's very straightforward. Cheerful marshals at the checkpoints with a good range of refreshments. Nice views from the ridge. Good LDWA event.

In short: Fab views, great weather, lovely course, great checkpoints, bargain!!! Just sort the 15 min queue out at the finish to register your time and collect your cert and it would be perfect.

In full: Thank you to the marshalls providing squash and biscuits, you looked a bit cold!

In short: Bargain Race; beautiful, challenging and friendly
In full: A really beautiful day, wonderful route and very friendly marshals and participants.

Nothing to get you talking with fellow walkers/runners than discussing whether this is the X-TK with ST 10yds to right :)

Once I'd got into the zone with the language of the directions, and kept my finger on where I was all the time they were great. Only one minor detour before CP3 on the 30miler.

A huge thank you to the marshals at the checkpoints, great range of food (peanuts was a great idea!) and lovely hot tea at CP3. Thanks for braving the cold for us!

Only downside was queue to check in at the finish, I absolutely froze and stiffened up. But the people at the finish desk looked even colder!

In short: For £3 this is the bargain of the century and an amazing course
In full: Having run the summer tanners in 2010, I knew what I was up for. If you want gels and lucozade and a t-shirt and goodie bag, stop reading and go find a race for £40.

This is an LDWA jewel. Perfect scenery, nearly 3000ft of hills and self navigation for 30 miles.

Perfect. What a way to start 2012 with an ultra!

See ou next year

In short: Great event. Relatively gentle course this year and perfect weather
In full: Did the 20 and really enjoyed it. Course changes every year and this year's was relatively gentle with some fantastic views and not too many horribly uneven, rutted or root-strewn tracks. Written route guide is detailed and easy to follow. Cup of tea at last checkpoint was particularly welcome :)
