In short: Tough run through the forest but signage could have been better
In full: A tough race, particularly the climb up to high beech in the woods. I enjoyed myself but the race has been a little spoiled for me by all these outrageous accusations of cheating. I did the race and was following a group of other runners on what I thought was the course. After the 2nd water station i saw people appear at my left and join the path i was on, which took me by surprise and i did wonder whether they had got lost. However when finishing the race I saw my Garmin showed 9.56km rather than the full 10.

I am annoyed that I didn't get to do the full course and have all these people get on their high horse and talk about cheating and cutting off 'a couple of kms' is a little rich. All it needed was a little better signage and marshalling at that point. I don't even recall seeing a turning let alone a marshall.

In short: Superb mid-week jaunt, a welcome change from the roads.
In full: Great organisation, good value with lovely medal & goodie bag.
Route was a nice testing climb for the first few km on wide woodland trails, then some fun twists and turns through the forest before a lightning quick last few kms on a perfect trail running surface, and pretty much downhill to the finish.
Only fly in the ointment was a few people who clearly cheated by knocking off a few kms and 're-appearing' just before the 9km marker. But you can't blame the organisers for that.

In short: Well organised, lovely route. Very enjoyable, and a bit challenging. 10/10.
In full: Well organised, friendly staff, great course, lovely medal and nice goody bag at the end. I would go again and would encourage others to do so.

In short: Great race and just a shame there are not more of these during the year. I did hear that quite a few people got lost/cut corners' towards the end but it is not nearly a PB course so pointless if the later

In short: Beginner friendly trail run
In full: This was a well organised event and I thoroughly enjoyed the run. Very welcoming and a great introduction to trail running for beginners. One thing I would add is that none of the race material included information on how to get there by public transport, it was only 5 mins walk from Chingford station, so very easy. The race organisers could flag that up next time.

In short: Well organised and great first 10k race
In full: This was my first trail race and first 10k race. Really enjoyed it. The organisation was great and there was a marshal when I hit the left turn into the forest, but can see why that would be easy to miss.

To be honest I was disappointed that there was not more running through the trees on the forest trails. Having said that, it was a great run. Would certainly do it again.

Two of my daughters (aged 6 & 8) did the 3km Fun Run and they really enjoyed that with the same medals and goody bags.

In short: Challenging mid week race - well worth turning out for
In full: Well organised, easy chip pick up before start, plenty of marshalls & 2 welcome water stations. Left turn did have a marshall on it when I came thru but could see it would be easy 2 miss. Always liked being able 2 see someone ahead of me to make sure I was sticking 2 the route. Overall, an enjoyable challenging run.

In short: Good course esp. the off track bits which were top, but a few groups must have got lost and cut a few Ks.

In short: Good varied off road course
In full: Organisation score was for the poorly signed part just before 7km (just after water station).. it was too easy to miss the left turn back into the forest (which I am sure lots of people did as it joined back up later on. Just needed an extra marshall so easy to iron out.. otherwise a very enjoyable course with an easy 3km at the start and then the hills and little bit of mud and tree stumps kick in. Would definately race again as love mid week races, good work!
