In short: This is my favourite race of the year
In full: The atmosphere and organisation at this event is outstanding. Marshalls and organisers have proven they can cope with any weather condition over the last few years. The run itself is through some intersting countryside, and of course, there is the beast of the hill. Peppershell lane is hard enough but the sharp righ onto Slate lane is the heartbreaker. But there's something about this race that brings out the best in runners and the camaraderie is great. See you next year.

In full: Really fun, enjoyable race. All organisers, marshalls, spectators and competitors made this a great event, truly embraced by the community. But v tough hill!

In short: Fantastic
In full: Interesting route through country lanes , very hilly, but didn't come here for a pb, and hugely enjoyable because of it. The marshalling, organisation and welcoming friendliness of the event are outstanding and ill definitely be back next year. Hats off to everyone concerned, and if anyone is reading this and wondering whether to have a go, don't hesitate.

In short: Serious challenge for fit runners
In full: A most impressive event. Probably the toughest and best-organised of local 10ks. Superbly marshalled, and thanks to you all. I was pleased, as a V60, to run it in 47.12 but didn't have much left. A superb circuit, a privilege to pass through such lovely surroundings, and on traffic free roads.

In short: Thoroughly enjoyed my first Pensford 10k, hopefully it won't be my last.
In full: Atrocious weather really but hardly noticed it once the race was underway. Great course, criss-crossing the River Chew before tackling the big hill out of Compton Dando. Great support from the marshals and a smattering of local supporters braving the wind and rain. Will definitely look this one up again next year. Thanks to all involved.

In short: You can't rely on the weather and this year it was abysmal but still a PB for me!
In full: I didn't pre-register and the weather was just awful so that tells you something about me and the race. Me, I'm in training for a bigger race and needed the notorious Pepper Shells hill to guage my fitness by, and the race how well organised and friendly it seems to me. I haven't run many 10 races (only my 5th but) but knocked 2 mins 2 secs of my PB for any, and an amazing 3 mins 50 seconds off my previous Pensford race PB in 2010. How? 5 Kg lighter perhaps part of the reason but I really do believe beetroot juice played a very significant part! Viva betterave! Allez Le Transbaie

In full: this was my 2nd pensford 10k and will be back next year very well organised and great marshalls , i have to say the organisers and marshalls did a sterling job in pouring rain , i did it nearly 4 minutes faster than last year and am sure encouragement from the marshalls helped , on top of that a lovely medal and delicous cake , well done to everyone......
