In short: Great scenery, good fun, with some ruinous hills....
In full: Another cracking series, race 2 was cold & muddy, whilst race 3 was overcaset, but easier underfoot - a perfect mix of wather and challenges as it happens.

As usual, there was a mix of hills that were simply hard and ruinous and those that were walking paced killer hills - but thats why most of us keep coming back.... (the view from the top of st marthas is always great too).

In short: Excellent 3-race series
In full: Am really enjoying this 3-race series (except when I am going up those hills!). Really well organised, tough, tough races. The early Sat start time is great too.

In short: Rock hard but worth it!
In full: I signed up for all 3 of these having only done one 10k before. Feb was brutal! I was resigned to being at the back and walked with everyone else up to St Marthas. Chuffed that I actually finished in a quicker time than Jan! Bring on the March race, going for a G3 PB!

In short: excellent race series.
In full: I have done quite a few races this season and the G3 are my favourite - i may be near the back but everyone is encouraging - looking on the website for allabouttriatholons now as hopefully they will be doing more cross country during spring!

In short: Hills, ice and mud.
In full: A fair few bemused dog walkers and a horse rider seemed puzzled to see us out there, but I would recommend it to anyone.

In short: Lulled into a false sense of security
In full: For much of the first two miles, the going is good. Downhill. And you forget that what goes down must come up again. You almost don't notice St Marthas when you approach for the first time, decieved into thinking it's a short single track rise. within seconds you are reduced to walking pace with burning calves and aching thighs. This race is tough, but run by a capable, enthusastic crew, excellent atmosphere. And it's at least 11kms! Recommended! :)

In short: Ouch. How can there be more uphills than down.
In full: Another great AAT event. The hills certainly don't get easier, maybe its me getting older. I'll be back in March for more physical abuse and worringly looking forward to it!

In short: Early morning hully fun
In full: Well organised and marshalled start to the weekend. Way harder than the January course, there seemed to be twice as many hills this time round. Hope march is easier

In short: Mud, hills, sand, sweat, brilliant!
In full: A pretty tough hilly race, short but don't be fooled. A very well organised race, great atmosphere both at the start/finish and during the race, great marshalls - what more can I say!? A fantastic little series of races to get you out of bed at the weekend - can't wait for March!
