In short: Disappointing.
In full: A very disappointing event.
My main issues are:
- A lack of marshalls on the course. (especially at the road crossing)
- Poor drink station
- Same medal as last year
- I also feel that the event lacks passion from the organisers, with a "that will do" attitude.

Its a shame as its a great place to run and the event has real potential.

In short: Poor value for money

Bad
Value for money (£19 + £3 parking + £2.50 booking fee)
Lack of marshals (especially at road crossing)
Poor or missing signage and mile markers
No goodie bad

Seems to me to be a money making venture rather than a pleasurable race experience

In short: Badly organised and over priced!!
In full: Where was my money spent? Cheap medals, poor signs, dangerous road crossing with no marshals. Only one water point badly maned with no bottles just cheap plastic cups which spill before you can get a drink. Marshals offered very little encouragement and clearly didnt want to be there.Manual timing, which was completely out as i asked my recorded time which was different to my self timed time. This is definitely one to avoid!!

In short: Quite a nice route for a training run. The route was well marked out and the youngsters giving out the drinks were super polite. NO goody bag - shame. So is having to pay for the parking on top of the not so cheap entry fee.

In full: Not a bad location but glad I opted for the 5k as laps bore me!

Only a small group of runners & there weren't any thrills with fancy start lines, chips timing, goody bags etc but I got a cool medal which is more important to me!

Entry was an reasonable cost for a 5k (I've seen worse!) but then the £3 for parking on top was a bit steep. Not sure if we were pre-warned by the organisers so glad I carry change on me.

The water station was a bit of a joke & I felt sorry for those doing the longer distances.

Overall the race was stripped back to a very simple form but sometimes that can be a refreshing change from the all singing all dancing events.

In short: Great venue but organisation very poor!
In full: Ok at start but couldn't hear instuctions as only a loudhailer being used at the front. Flat course through lovely wooded areas with easy pathways. I did the 10km so 2 laps of the course. Waterpoint a joke after first lap - cups being held out to try and grab! At the end, just finished and got a medal. No idea of time as no clock visible but I used my Garmin. Chased for times as nothing published at the end of the day and then find a 3 min difference between 'official' time and my garmin! More inclined to trust my watch! £17 entry - steep for what it was. Wont be doing again. Shame as could be a fab event :)

In short: Nice scenery and very friendly
In full: It was my first time running this half marathon course. I rolled up on my own and found the organisers and other runners all friendly and helpful. great lakeside scenery. Scored a new PB and the rain stayed away! A T-Shirt would have been nice.

In short: Expensive.
In full: Did not feel like you were getting value for money. On any other weekend for just the 3 quid parking fee, you can run around the lakes with use of almost all the same facilities. Just bring your own stopwatch!
