In short: well organised,tough in places especially draining through the stream which was like quicksand if you did it? nice tee shirt

In short: Excellent day out for something a bit different
In full: First time for me venturing off road, great to do something a bit different. Some (not overly) challenging hills and fun stream/ditch crossings and hay bail jumps taking in the scenic grounds of the Northern Racing College.
We were fortunate with some good weather and the water stop at half way was very welcome. Good facilities at the HQ incluing a nice enough cafe. Overall a friendly, laid back atmosphere and a great day out for a testing but enjoyable break from the norm.

In short: Different. A scenic, fun event. Hope it continues - as I'll be back.
In full: Hard pack trail meant this could have been run virtually 100% in roadies (hint for the organisers - next year there should be some method of keeping the runners in the water along the ditch. Plenty just crossed, ran along the bank and recrossed.)
I did hear a couple of comments at the finish that it would have been better with distance markers. At the time I agreed, but in retrospect I'd disagree. Once you knew they weren't there it added a new aspect to the run.
All in all a nice event, I should be back next year.
