In short: Nails
In full: By far the hardest thing I have done, I am a relative beginner to longer trail runs and certainly underestimated this. Some of the hills are so steep running up them is near impossible save for the leading runners no doubt. Really tough but incredible scenery, coming down from "the snake" and overlooking the sea particularly beautiful, plus great value (socks and a decent medal for £12 entry) make this one to remember. Ill be back, but i think more hill training beforehand next time!! Thanks to the very supportinve marshalls

In short: Very tough, but worth it...
In full: I did the 2011 race and as expected it was pretty tough, with no chance of a PB, although that's not the point. Excellent training if you are doing an Autumn/Winter marathon and the scenery makes up for some of those steep hills. Would definitely recommend it, but not for the faint hearted.

In short: Great morning out and smiling faces everywhere
In full: Not a race for you if you don't like hills. Luckily I know this route all too well so no suprises for me, although I'm not sure If I will ever have the ability to run up the "W" (few do). Lovely views of sea and Sussex and almost perfect weather too (bit windy on last couple of miles, but what can be expected when you are next to the sea). Brilliant atmosphere and thanks to Sam and organisers and cheery volunteers. So much homemade cake and cordial and a nice massage at the end - it was just lovely. I am all smiles. Will certainly being a regular for this one in future.

In short: Hardest Race I've ever done, but definitely the best!!
In full: I put extraordinary organisation. But there was one problem no fault of theirs. A farmer wasn't happy with them giving out drinks at a certain part of the run so it was a big distance for fluids at one stage. As I said no fault of the organisers.

Although It took me 3 hrs 48 mins 52 secs.
My quadriceps are killing me. The hills were very fun. I had to walk some they were impossible to run up. But very very enjoyable.

I will deffinitely try doing it again..

In short: Running those dreadful hills were no laughing matter!
In full: Running jog Shop 20 is a tough challenging race to get you heart really pumping hard.

This 20 miles race is not easy and your quads will hurt you every inch of the way!

I must say those massive slow cows during the race did get in the way but on the udder hand it could be much worst it could be bulls roaming those fields!
The hills were long and torturous which was quite unpleasant for my legs.
The beautiful views did help to numb the pain.

The Marshals were great and very supportive I could not fault any of them. En route there were no miles markers so when I thought I ran
5 miles it was only 3 miles. Around 17 and a half miles I got myself completely lost due to few marshals in the last few miles, thus I was unable to find the “tunnel”. However Thanks to few helpful locals I manage to get myself back on course but took another wrong turning about ¾ mile near the finish but I managed to find the finish.

Despite being lost near the end of the race I still rate this race highly and I believe it has very great value for your money.

There should have had one more water station. Maybe in future you could have one Marshal standing by the tunnel and another two Marshals around the last two miles.

Ooh Sam (The Race Oganiser), you should have gone to Specsavers because I should have been down as Bromley Veteran Athletics Club.

I really hope I am off next year to run this race again.
