In short: fab race but those steps are a killer
In full: Its a really good off road race with a wide range of entrant abilities. Good atmosphere and well worth the trip despite the killer steps. Not a race if you only like flat races or are looking for a PB but a good mince pie burner.

In short: Tough but excellent post Crimbo race
In full: An excellent post Crimbo race. Set in very Grounds. Looking back I see that the course notes failed to mention the `steps` - I thought there were 90 or so but I see that there were 173 of them (x 2) - great feature !!!! Special mention goes out to the organisors & helpers around the course & in the Car Park - thanks. See you next year.

In short: A truly memorable race
In full: A fantastic end to the season, I haven't enjoyed a race so much for ages. Great scenery and the right mix of flat and tough climbs to make it challenging but still enjoyable. Very well organised, the best parking space I have ever encountered. I will definitely be back next year.

In short: Well organised, marshalls were great and everyone was encouraging
In full: My first time for this and despite having to walk on the steps really enjoyed it. lots of encouragement from other runners helped on the steep bits and the views were great too

In short: Really fantastic scenery and enjoyed the steep step climb!
In full: This was such a great challenge and a nice break to the Christmas holiday. The hill climbs are tough and the pace was pretty fast. This is worth it for the great setting.

In short: Tough but fun mince pie burner
In full: Great way to burn off all those Christmas pies - picturesque course but some tough climbs, particularly the steps, which you have to tackle twice! A few bottlenecks at the start, but a fun, friendly race, will be back next year!

In short: Tough race, beautiful scenary, memorable steps
In full: Slight change to the course this year ensured we got to climb the full set of steps twice! The climb up from the tow path was kinder this time around.
Dry conditions meant the pace was quite fast.

In short: Great way to end the running year!
In full: I LOVE this race! Definitely has the 'feel good' factor!

Lovely, friendly atmosphere and as I said at the beginning - a really great way to finish the year!

Surprised that people feel the need for spikes on this course. Even on previous wet and slippy years a good pair of off-road shoes seems to do the job.

Thanks Burnham Joggers - see you next year!
