In short: A nice challenging course
In full: A nice 5 mile race with many undulations to challenge you along the way, nice momento at the end although slightly dissapointed that all the mugs had gone by the time I finished and had to settle for a bottle of beer.

In short: Enjoyable midweek race
In full: A good testing course around the country lanes of Pewsey, lots of up and downs but nothing to daunting, I got a PB but it was my first time at this distance. A very good turnout and now thinking about doing the half there in a few weeks time.

In short: Would definitely do this one again - bottle of beer at the finish was a nice touch!
In full: Quite a clubby crowd which felt a little daunting for a novice, but very friendly and very well organised race. Even a few spectators out to cheer us on along the way!

In short: Scenery, beer, pace, good weather, beer, well organised, oh, and did I say beer?
In full: Well organised fairly local race, very high turnout for a Wednesday evening but it looked like 80% club runners ..... good if you are in one but possibly a bit daunting if not! The clubbers certainly helped you keep your pace up though ! Course is very well marked and marshalled, and the traffic was controlled brilliantly. Great scenery, it was really what makes running a pleasure although the course is certainly undulating, more so during the first half. I wouldn't say it was a pb race in general because there are possibly just too many slopes to keep your speed up, but having said that, I did pb (which was inevitable as it was my first five miler !) Plus, I was a couple of seconds faster per mile than in the Bristol 10k at the five mile point which was amazing as that was pancake flat ! Definately well worth doing and to cap it all, a bottle of beer at the end !

In short: Another PVRC winner
In full: Undulations? If that's as difficult as it gets bring undulations on a plenty. Very gentle. Pretty rural laned course just as the 10K is.
PVRC really do excellent races - don't miss out on them :-)

Yeah - lots of club runners, but that doesn;t stop us plodders from joining in.

As well as the beer there were also bum bag mementos.

One word? Fantastic!!
