In short: tough hills, but I finished
In full: First comment I make has to be about the marshalls, because foruthe whole two hours and 40 minutes I was running and walking, the encouragement and Jelly Babies never stopped.
It's a tough race, make no bones about it. If you haven't trained for hills (note to self for next year), you WILL have a hard time.
The first bit of the race, through the estate isn't scenic at all, cut once you get out of town, prepare for the wow factor. I would certainly run it again and find some hills to run up! My legs hurt

In short: Tough race, great location, well organized, great value.
In full: Great race overall. Very well marshalled, scenic course, which is as hilly as they say it is! Probably best value goody bag I have ever received, contained 2 great things (technical T and bottle of Ale) rather than the random bits and pieces that you can get eleswhere (eg Plymouth Half), and all for £12.
Will be back next year and would encourage anyone else to try it too.

In short: very well organised but the hilliest course ive ever done around a dozen over the past 3 years
In full: The route was beautiful. There was a really friendly atmosphere at the race hq and it was really nice to chat and meet so many runners. The course was really challenging but I ran it with some colleagues who hadnt done many half marathons and they still found it enjoyable.I would have preferred bottled water as opposed to cups as its really hard to run and drink from small plastic cups without choking slightly! I would definitely recommend this run and cant believe i hadnt found it earlier.

In short: A must if you like a challenge :-)
In full: The route was well marshalled and the terrain was demanding as always. That's my second Saltash Half and wont be my last. Great to see the day finish off with a good quality T-Shirt and goody bag. Well done Saltash.

In full: thanks to Stephen Smith for organising an excellent race. The marshals were are in the right place, giving plenty of encouragement. we are knew the course was hard. the technical t-shirt given out said it all, 'i survived the Saltash Half'. great goody bag given out. i am very proud to be a member of the Tamar Trotters.
