In short: Pace yourself and there is a PB available, just don't get carried away along the sea front
In full: This review os for the 2011 race.
It was a lovely, warm day by the seaside; a lot of twists and turns, needing a lot of mmarshall support. Plenty of these and water stations too.
The 3 miles on the prom, by the beach were lovely, but the last 2 miles on a gradual incline hurt, thus depriving many of a PB. A local event for local people, with a 2-mile fun run and 5-mile challenge too. But hot, damn hot!

In short: Marshalling issues again
In full: At a few of the junctions it seemed that marshalls were not sure of the route and was confusing in many parts and clear direction was not given.

In short: My first ever run, didn't know what to expect but found it well organised and friendly. The marshalling problem was obviously sorted by the time I got there as I managed to stay on course. A big thank you to the organisers, marshalls and the police.

In short: Poor marshalling two years in a row
In full: To hear the number of people who were misdirected because of poor marshalling is unforgiveable really. Surely someone needs to own the organisation and confirm that there are marshalls where needed. The same thing happened in 2009 but no lessons seem to have been learned.

In short: Good small local race. Shame about the weather.
In full: Good small local race. Seafront running on a windy and rainy day not that positive today so thanks to local marshalls and police for their support in the rain.
I am sure the race would be better attended so it is a shame this race clashes on the same date as Halstead, Colchester Charity and Colchester Guantlet.
