In short: Great location, tough race wth no sight of THE house!!!
In full: Changeable weather kept us guessing!

A quick first k then a tough, grassy start to the 4k of climbing. Up on narrow paths and then wider tracks until you reach the lovely lake at the top and then down quickly for 3k. The final 1.5k are on estate roads.

Amazing location not fully taken advantage of. Very expensive with just a water bottle (useful though) as a reward but no organisational issues that abounded in 2010 apparently.

In short: Tricky first half followed by a fast downhill
In full: As this was only my second 10k I found the first half challenging due to little hill training. The second half of the race flew by however and I managed to finish with a PB. The organisation was OK and personally didn't experience any problems with parking. An enjoyable day and one I'd do again. On to the next one.

In short: Nice surrounding, well signed and marshalled, seems to be getting better each year
In full: Second year for me and the niggles are being ironed out re parking and starting on time.
Quite expensive compared to other 10k runs but it is for charity. Overall quite a challenging course in a friendly environment.

In short: Well organised, fun and friendly
In full: All of last year's problems resolved. A really good event. Perhaps have water at 5k ( on flat ) rather than uphill section slightly earlier? Could not fault it.

In short: Mostly Enjoyable
In full: Firstly thanks to the organisers.

This is quite a tough race in beautiful surroundings. The first half of the race is mostly hills.
Mostly friendly except for some of the military marshals who only half-filled cups and seemed surly for no particular reason.

I'm glad I ran it but as someone mentioned, the plastic bottle wasn't that impressive. I think the organisers should have made it clear not to expect a medal/goodie bag and that the money was going to charity. I'd have been happier with that.

In short: Better organized than last year.
In full: slight change to start and finish from last year. It's a lovely setting for a race but could be even better. I know it's to raise money for the trust charity, but the feeling is they get you in , race and shove you off again as fast as possible, and the crappy plastic water bottle as a "gift" was beyond a joke.
