In short: Very Challenging, family friendly, great atmosphere but hard work
In full: This race was superbly organised, family and I got there early and we had access to the park, cafe, toliets, parking with no problems. The atmosphere was great.

I was not expecting the course to be that tough, but it was a struggle. My first time on the trials and it showed. The marshalls were very encouraging and all the runners seemed to be working hard but were friendly and having fun. I applaud the organisers well done and thanks

In short: My 4th 10 and thoroughly enjoyed it
In full: This was my 4th 10K and a pb for me - which surprised me after doing the much flatter Great Yorkshire a month ago.

Enjoyed this race, few inclines in places and a little muddy under foot. Passing was also very difficult. That grassy bank at the end was a little hairy!

Def do it again.

In short: Well organised & marshalled but don't expect a personal best.
In full: A new event well worth checking out in the future. However, don't expect a personal best time, much of the course is more cross country on single track woodland paths making passing impossible & at times runners were falling over each other. However, it is something slightly differeent & overall very enjoyable & a good challenge. Top marks to the marshalls who were very friendly & did a great job. More toilets at the start please next year!

In short: A few more portaloos would be handy, but overall a really nice race
In full: Minor gripe first. Although a portable toilet trailer had been hired (I assume) 800+ runners and 6 toilets isn't ideal. Some very long queues in the run up to the race. And if you have a choice of road or trail shoes, don't leave the trail shoes in your car like I did! My fault entirely (not knowing the course) but there were a few inclines where I lost traction and a couple of steep(ish) damp descents where some better grip would have been welcome. But overall I think this was a friendly race with a good atmosphere provided by the local radio, warm-up instructors and cheerleaders. The marshalls were plentiful, efficient and encouraging.

In short: A good first attempt
In full: Minuses
- start boxes not big enough for everyone
- narrow trails meaning overtaking of people walking on the uneven pathways very difficult
- long queues for water and t-shirt after finish
- prize giving quite late

Pluses
- nice friendly family atmosphere
- chip timed
- I won a spot prize in the prizegiving

Overall a good first race and it should return next year but plenty of scope for improvements

In short: challenging, but lovely trail & path route
In full: Firtsly I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to the marshalls, who were just fab all the way round.
Nice race. Hillier than I'm used to, so I was slow, but it was really enjoyable and a nice route through the parks.
I will definitely do it again next year (and start doing some hill work in the meantime).
