In short: Near completely off road run through some glorious woods. Mostly on trails
In full: Near completely off road run through some glorious woods. Mostly on trails with good footing. I was allowed to run with my dog, who enjoyed the race too, especially the puddles to drink from.
Cheerful marshals and a well organised.
We shall be back!

In short: Must try forest trail - fab for newbies!
In full: Excellent choice for anyone looking to go off road for the first time. Friendly well organised race with good forest trail course - not too hardcore for newbies but a refreshing change from road racing. No pressure for slowcoaches and very supportive marshals - especially the children with horns and whistles! Will definitely add this to my calendar as a must do. Thanks Warminster - this is as good as your 10 miler and thanks too to the rugby club for the comfy race HQ!

In short: Fantastic Forest Fun!
In full: We travelled from Birmingham down to Warminster through some torrential downpours this morning, at around Bath we were contemplating giving it a miss seeing as we had a 2.5hr journey back at the end....so glad we didn't!!!!
Race briefing warned us that the first 5 miles were 'testing' and 'undulating' so was expecting some horrific hills! Within the first 1/4 mile we hit a very steep climb and my heart was sinking that we had another 5 miles of these but it was the descents that caused the real problems, they were extreme! However once we hit the forest it was relatively flat, as were the final 5 miles. Running thorough the forest was beautiful and made even more fun by the copious amounts of mud due to the rain that morning. Despite a short break at 8.5 miles due to a spooked horse pretty pleased with my time and the final 1/2 mile has good sprint finish potential. Despite this race being a fair trek from home I would definitely comeback and do it again. As is usual with all the smaller, running club races excellent organisation and fantastic marshalls. Great Race Warminster Running Club!!!

In short: Great Run, definitely challenging
In full: Bit 50/50 this morning of whether to run due to overnight storms. Great run, and very challenging, especially over those first few miles. Nice to run through the forest. Good organisation and great marshalls. Not one for a PB

In short: Scenic, challenging but fun
In full: Well organised, Marshalls were friendly and held back traffic when required. Loved running through the shade in the woods. Not PB potential but a lovely race for something different for a Sunday run. Hills were a bit challenging and seemed to keep coming but the last 4 miles werent too bad with a slight hill at the end for a sting in the tail. Good fun

In short: Very well organised and marshalled! Nice scenic route, with a few intersting hills!
In full: I don't think there were any road closures, but the marshalls done a great job of stopping traffic allowing the runners through.

Really nice route, was plenty of shade aswell when running through the forest areas.

First time running off-road, and certainly not my last. Far more interesting and entertaining than road races.
