In short: Tough and Rewarding
In full: In previous years the masochists made you run uphill for 2 miles in temperatures of about a million degrees. You then stumbled and weaved the 3 miles to the finish in a heat-induced trance. This year, in a new twist, they made you run up the same hill in about a million degrees despite the forecasts of a nice cooling drizzle then plunged you into a mudbath to swim slowly to the finish. It's a bit sily, it doesn't suit me and it hurts quite a lot, but I really enjoy this race (afterwards). It's brilliantly organised, has a great fete for the spectators, is run through some lovely countryside, is superbly marshalled by friendly, encouraging people and you won't run anything else quite like it. So I suppose what I'm saying is that it's tough and rewarding. Just read the one line summary. It'll save you some time.

X-Country in July who would have thought it! Well done to all the marshalls and the goody bag was rather good, nice t-shirt and towel.

In short: Great Low Key Race through lovely Hampshire Countryside
In full: Considering the amount of rain we have had in the last month the course was in great shape. Cheerful marshalls, though that may be due to the fact that the sun came out for the first time in weeks, and a really well organised event. Great goody bag; T shirt, towel, banana and balloon to amuse the kids. Will be back next year.

In short: Lovely friendly run in great surroundings
In full: I had a great time (but I live locally so I'm biased!) and found this incredibly friendly and welcoming. Nice mix of abilities and lovely to run in countryside you aren't normally permitted to run through. It was hot and the extra water was much needed.

In short:
In full: This was an enjoyable day out.The course is good and the Marshals were all very friendly and encouraging. The facilities are fine and the general organisation and atmosphere was excellent. My only suggestion is,a few X/L T Shirts next year would be good.I know it is a freebie, but it seems a shame that there were no extra large tees at all.Thankyou for a great day and hopefully you will have me again next year.

In short: Nice friendly race on scenic course
In full: The course was scenic along the edge of the downs, on a mix of horse training gallops, footpaths and a few short sections of road. The course is 'undulating' and the uphill sections are at a modest enough incline. The first mile is over road and gallops wide enough for overtaking so you can find your position at your pace before the narrower footpath sections where overtaking would be problematic.
It was linked with a fete, making an overall great family day out for running and non-running family members. Because of that the finish was packed for the size of race and all finishers got a great reception.

In short: Well organised event challenging in the heat
In full: Very well organised for a first time event with extra water laid on which was very welcome given the extreme temps. Only improvement would be to make the First Aid station/person more obvious as the tempretures did cause some runners issues and it was difficult to identify where the support was.

In short: Superb organisation for a 1st time event that puts others to shame
In full: Hottest day of the year, and a challenging hill, so the organisers putting on extra water stations was much appreciated.
This was the 1st time the event had been organised and it was very impressive. Just the right amount of goodies for the price, great location for getting into the country side, and a fabulous day out due to the school fete at the venue. Really made it a very social run that I hope to repeat next year.
Well done chaps
