In short: Tough - lots of hills!
In full: Nice surroundings but start seemed a bit "vague" with everyone milling about a small "Start" banner in a field. The run was very challenging due to the number of hills and the heat but marshals were encouraging and nice scenery. Considering the relatively small number of runners, it was disappointing to see that an insufficient number of t-shirts had been supplied so the last few runners missed out. Overall, enjoyable but room for improvement.

In short: Challenging but great event.
In full: This was my 4th go at this and as enjoyable as ever. The HQ is set in the lovely Mt Ephraim Gardens and the course is a very undulating one along quite country lanes.A particularly longish and arduous hill comes in at about 6K.

Very well organized with encouraging marshals along the way.

Usually the weather is very warm at this event, and just before the start the clouds parted to reveal the sun which was followed by heavy rainfall as the the last runners were coming home.A nice day out for all.

In short: Challenging but excellent organisation
In full: 3rd time at this race and organisation as good as ever. Encouraging marshalls, lovely venue and liked the yellow shirt as an alternative to a medal. It is a challenging course but some nice downhill stretches compensate for the ups.

In short: 'Pretty hilly'
In full: Organisation was good; I can't even resort to my pet gripe (the lack of a 1km marker) as the km markers were excellent, as were the marshalls. It was a real shame that we didn't get medals rather than t-shirts, especially since - by the time I finished - there were only small and large sizes left.

The course is quite challenging - plenty of ups and downs - but certainly enjoyable to freewheel down after a couple of longer climbs. I didn't manage to take in that much scenery but it was a very enjoyable run, with excellent support at the finish.

In short: Scenic run, quite challenging
In full: Arrival and parking were fine, although grass in the parking area could have done with a cut. Most of the organisation was very good, marshalls were all excellent cheering and encouraging runners around the course. KM markers were clear. The run was mostly along tarmac narrow lanes, with the odd car to avoid but no major problems. Excellent crowd at the end cheering all runners over the finish line. Would have been nice if there had maybe been some orange squash as refreshments at the end instead of just water. Also would have prefered a medal at the end (as trying to make a collection) rather than a horrible yellow Tshirt that I will proabably never wear. All in all a good race but not quite worth the money due to lack of medal and poor refreshments. (Hamstreet 10k had lots of nice cakes at the end - all free and it was the same cost as this one)

In short: Tough race but very scenic. Couple of points could improve the day.
In full: A hilly race, but the venue and route are very special. Marshals extremely encouraging. Signage for toilets, race HQ, start etc. within the venue were lacking. Very disappointing as a slower runner to have the choice of a t-shirt that was far too small or gigantic. Would suggest option of collecting t-shirt on arrival next year. I would do it again if these points were ironed out. Thanks to all concerned for hard work in organising a nice event.

In short: Absolutely superb. Tough but great fun.
In full: Brilliant organisation and with efficient and encouraging marshalls, this was a very friendly race. Great atmosphere. Beautiful course with some stunning scenery. Watch out for the long, steep, tough hills though!

In short: The one to bring your family, you run they admire the scenic gardens!
In full: A big THANK YOU to the house owner who kindly provided a cold hosepipe shower, i dont think i could have done it without you, can the marshall at dawes rd? junction indicate its all down hill now? as i kept something back not knowing it was all downhill for 2 clicks (apart from the last few hundred calf muscle killing metres!) well organised, nice setting, well marshalled, nice friendly french coach load of runners to ad to the mix and atmosphere...superb.

In short: Challenging course but well worth the scenery
In full: This is a local race for me and having got married at Mount Ephraim 11 years ago I am always keen to attend this event. I did a PW this year but was pleased with myself that I actually turned up due to the extreme heat we had last weekend. I am hoping next year tha that the race will start much earlier, maybe 9am because if it is a similar temperature next year I do not think I will take part. Love the atmosphere and organisation and I still have one of the memento bags from a few years ago that I use frequently when I go to events. Much more useful than a tacky medal or poor quality t.shirt. Well done Canterbury Harriers and Mount Ephraim.
