In short: Great run in the sun
In full: 3rd year doing this race and thoroughly enjoy it each year. I am a club runner and I started near the front. I did see people walking early on but I was easily able to get past and this race is about encouraging running not making people who are slower feel bad. I enjoy this race more because of the relaxed atmosphere.

In short: Great for beginners, joggers and walkers. Not for those who have caught racing bug!
In full: Lovely location for a nice evening run but the course was far to narrow in places making passing difficult and as invaraibly happens in these events slower runners start too near the front and you end up with people walking before the 1k mark! The finish area could have been better laid out to make time recording easier.

In short: Pretty course; beginner-friendly; organisation gets better each year.
In full: Slightly disappointing that course still a bit hit or miss - partly due to running on grass and on a part unmarked route. Extremely good for beginners - lots of walk/joggers too. Hard to recommend as PB material due to congestion through the Botanic Gardens on some paths edged by hedges. But a good course, a good time of day, great views of the Edinburgh city skyline, and a nice atmosphere.

In short: Great event, great location, but how did they get the marshalling so wrong in race B???
In full: I beat my 5K PB by some distance last night, even though I got caught in the by now infamous extra loop...it looked to me like someone had moved the route markers during the races - surely it's elementary marshalling to double check everything's as it should be before the second race. That said, I'm sure the organisers will learn from this and next year's will be hitch-free. Still well worth it although it's eating me up that I've got to wait another year to find out just how fast I can get round this beautiful course...

In short: Really enjoyed it - friendly, fun and great goody bag, T-shirt & medal
In full: I'm sorry for the runners in race B that took thw wrong route as I think the marshalling was great for the first race, didn't need to think about the route at all.
