In short: Anybody can run a marathon ..........
In full: My first time as an ultra on 13/7/2012 so due to the conditions not time i'd hoped for.
I'll certainly be doing it next year ........ probably the longer version (but if not a defo pb) !?
Big thanks to everybody involved especially the officials.Jane I would have walked the last 10 if I hadn't met up with you so I hope i didn't bore you.
I've done a couple of fat feet events now so i'm going to offer to Marshall for the event at Rutland Water later on this year.
Well done chaps, welldone everybody who turned up on 13/7/2012 and hope to see you next year.

In short: Brilliant for my first bash at an ultra
In full: Fantastic event, organization and support. Other runners very friendly and helpful. Great setup with the main tent at end of each lap for supplies etc. Will definately be back next year :-)

In short: This was my first ultra and it was a a really lovely location, the coiurse was a mixture
In full: This was my first ultra and it was a a really lovely location, the course was a mixture of surfaces, the year I did it the weather was shocking, raining from 8:30am for about 24hrs but that added to the challenge. I'll definitely be back...

In short: No gates,no Navigation and safe.Lap set up can get to you if not mentally tough,so a good challenge mentally and physically.
In full: First time on this Ultra.Lovely event but the continuous rain made it abit of a dull experience when i am sure it would have been beautiful during normal July weather.Brilliantly organised event and Gorgeous 9bars to snack on.Nice 'stamping system' to ensure full course route run and great that the estate grounds closed to public after 6 pm to ensure safety for runners.Route patrolled through the night by organisers to keep an eye out for anyone struggling.Highly recommend this event.And fabulous medical support by Gary Benson and his team.

In short: really good run, done it two years now, would do again
In full: it was really wet and muddy in 2012 which caused many problems, a great first try at an ultra for anyone. Good mix of course trail and raod, fantasic scenery, excellent support, and running at night following glow sticks is excellent, just need to convince the wife to let me do it again in 2013

In short: Highlight of my year
In full: After running 7 marathons decided to have a go at 70 miles last year here (weather was kinder). Attempted the 100 miler this year(rained almost all day) ended up having to pull out after 70 due to trashed feet (and I mean trashed). Going back to finish what I started next year. Great event well organised, beautiful scenery and lovely atmosphere especially for beginners into their first Ultra.

In short: A well organised event, friendly organizers and an electric atmosphere. I have traveled from Germany twice to attend this event and will continue to do so. Events like this make running all the more enjoyable.
