In short: Off road 10k meant that you did not have to contend with traffic. Good mix of abilities meant you could run at your own pace.

In short: poorly organised and not as advertised
In full: This is an ideal race for people new to running, with multiple traffic free laps and a virtually flat course. For the £14 entry free I would have expected to receive my running number by post . It was a pity that the race could not start in the athlectics stadium as this would have been a little less boring and also would have eased congestion at the start.
No mileage markers either .Would do again however and if it starts in the athletic stadium next year I am sure this is a race with Pb potential .

In full: Nothing about this race justified the £14 entry fee - this was a £6 race if ever there was one. No numbers or information were sent out by post, there were no age category prizes, even a fee of £2 was charged for entering online. I hope the organisers can contain their rapaciousness if the event is repeated next year.

In short: Poor organisation, starting line not indicated. Race marshall turned up at starting line less than 5 mins before race. No atmosphere. Finish line not obvious. Goody bag! What goody bag?

In short: A few problems...
In full: I have been waiting for the results to be posted to see how accurate they are but despite the official after the race saying they would be posted online 'within 72 hours' they haven't been.

As has been mentioned by others the main problems are that the race was not as advertised. Namely it didn't start and finish at Alexander Stadium, it wasn't road (track and fields), the KM markers weren't 'every KM' (there weren't any!) and the course wasn't totally flat.

Dispite the above it is in a good location and the marshalls were encouraging so it has definite potential. Just a few issues to iron out...

In short: Good if you like laps!!
In full: As there was not much information about this race available beforehand, I really didn't know what to expect. We arrived two hours before and couldn't get in to park so had to come back a bit later. I was told that it was four laps of the park but it turned out to be four and a half. I was told the course was flat but it wasn't exactly and I could see the less experienced found it hard work on mostly grass and tracks. For someone who doesn't like laps I found it boring but heard lots of people who sang its praises. The bonus was the t-shirt, medal and goody bag which was good value for £12. This race was average and could have been improved by providing more info beforehand as I think this put people off.

In short: pleasant run but improvements could be made
In full: clearer start line required, drinks after finish and at least a 5km marker would be good - also better communication via email prior to race day
