In short: I would like to try and do it for the first time because I didn't get to do it when it was scheduled!!
In full: I checked the website several times the day before the event (because of various weather forecasts) and checked it at least four times up to 9 A.M on the day of the run. I then drove 58 miles looking forward to a mid Christmas clear out only to find the race had been cancelled at ridiculously short notice!! Thank you Ripon.

In short: a challenging mix of road and off road tracks and fields
In full: A well organised race going through the grounds of Fountains Abbey with a tough hill leading onto a very wet and muddy field section.
It certainly clears the head after the overindulgences of Xmas
definately one to do again in 2007

In short: Just the thing to blow off the (sprouts?) christmas cobwebs
In full: Glorious sunshine, good support and fabulous scenery. Just the thing to offset the roast dinner(s) over christmas. A good mix of tarmac and off-road with a decent amount of mud this year.

Will definitely do it again next year... see you there!

In short: A wonderful off course race through parts of fountains abbey with very warm and welcoming atmosphere and generous and wide prize list. Well worth doing and supporting.
