In short: Great race, great weather
In full: Really enjoyed this race in my home town, in bad weather conditions everyone was great from the organisers to the spectators. Goody bag didn't really reflect the entry fee but a nice medal anyway. thanks

In short: Very Pricey for a half marathn
In full: Nice flat race - although I didnt expect it to be quite as rural as it turned out. Parts of the course were also narrow paths which wa frustrating if you got stuck behind a slower runner.
Weather on the day was very wet and cold which probably hasnt given me the best impression of the event.

In short: Very very wet yet very very good race.
In full: Despite the rain (which nearly made me turn around and go home - but glad I didn't) this was an excellent race. Despite the first half being up hill and the rain, I still managed my target of sub 2-hrs,on what turned out to be a very enjoyable course, even with the final hill up to the bridge at about mile 11. Support was good despite the weather and the route was traffic free which is always a bonus! Goody bag OK, nice T-shirt and even nicer mars bar.

In short: The Mars Bar was Excellent!
In full: Despite the worst of conditions ever experienced on a run this was a really good event. The organisers are trying hard, were friendly supportive etc and can't be blamed for the conditions. A great t-shirt and medal again and the Mars Bar at the end was a real treat! Could be a long term regular on this one!

In short: Wet Wet Wet
In full: This was my first half marathon for 7 years, during which time I have got very fat. Back on the road to fitness now and I was very pleased with 2.11 (I don't like thinking about what I used to be capable of). Happy to get round and run all the way.

I thought it was a nice route. Regular waterstops that seemed to be well organised. I loved the single track stuff through the parks. Took me back to my cross country days.

The rain did not bother me, but I did feel a bit guilty about leaving the family to sit for 2 hours in the car.

Thanks to the organisers, marshals and spectators, it must have been horrible in that weather and your support was much appreciated.
