In short: Loved it! In full: Having had almost 2 years off from racing, this was my first race and I absolutely loved it. Organisation with great atmosphere and lovely scenery made the course fantastic, well done East Grinstead, I will be back! Date of review: September 21, 2014
In short: Family friendly - kids play area at the finish line! In full: This is a very pretty, local race. Plenty of parking, plenty of toilets (other races take note!) and loads of helpful stewards. There's a kids play area and small wood near the finish line which was great for my 6 and 8 year old. They loved collecting conkers.
I'm a gym bunny / road runner, so I found the railway siding quite challenging to run on; my legs are definitely more tired than usual (beginners take note). If you are after a PB get really close to the front, as the course is narrow in places with no hope of passing people. If (like me) you were just bored of your local 10k and wanted something different, its fabulous. Best organised race I've been to in a long time. Date of review: September 21, 2014
In short: Thoroughly enjoyed my first ever 10K In full: Having only started running 9 months ago and having this as a target to aim for, I was filled with equal parts excitement and trepidation. The course does undulate and was a good challenge for a first ever race and I completed it quicker than I had expected. The marshals were brilliant, encouraging and supportive all the way around the course. The organisation before and after the event was also second to none and the organisers should be proud of the event, now having just completed it's 5th year. I look forward to running it again next year. Date of review: September 21, 2014
