In short: Friendly, informal 10k
In full: Course - Needs work to remove the 2 laps of the memorial ground before hitting the rest of the course. With woodland and country lanes all around, a better course is out there.
The hill at 7-9km is a welcome challenge!

Value - £6 entry is a bargain - and shows that some 10k's over complicate things with chip timing that adds unnecessarily to the cost.

Organisation - Well organised, well marshalled. Decent medal. Also had a fair for friends/family as well as kids race and 8km walk.

In short: Great village atmosphere!!
In full: Great village atmosphere, although didn't think much of the hill at the 7k mark!!! Overall nice run all be it a bit hilly....but the cheering crowds along the front of the fairground lift your spirits!!
Great cheap family day out as the kids (8 & 3) loved taking part in the 3k fun run, and running with the kids is a great way to warm up!
Only downside....THE TOILETS, not enough & pretty grim!

Well Done RRR

In short: Great family day at the races
In full: kids did the 3k fun run (and I used this as my warm up) which they enjoyed - well attended with lots of other kids too.

10K was was fine - easy route - lots of suppport -nice to run past the supporters twice so they get a good look at you.

Parking next tot the startline and a quick away after the race ended

Thanks RRR for a great race

In short: Cheap, Well Organised - Just would think of the runners more.
In full: RRR know how to put on a race, I've been a big fan of the Shinfield 10k for 4 or so years now.

What this race missed was a little of the creature comforts of that race - The hall to huddle in, the baggage tent, and the 10am start.

If you ask runners to turn up at before 10, then start the race strangely after the walk (?) you're going to get a lot of cold runners huddled in their cars, only appearing when the race was near.

Also had to (gently) push a few out of the way on the start as it was a little mass-start with all the people funneling in.

Can't complain, ran a new sub 42 pb and coped with the 7>8km hill (killer hill!) and found the rest of the course well laid out and comfortable

Well done RRR, just tidy up a few bits :)

In short: Cheap and cheerful Sunday morning out in Mortimer
In full: At £6 this is the cheapest race I've attended all year and well worth turning up for. A couple of laps round the roads surrounding the green soon give way to quiet country lanes and some nice inclines to stretch the legs. Good support all around the start/finish area and parking was a breeze. Thanks RRR :)
