In short: Great day out
In full: Brilliant value as mentioned before. Think the common start wouldn't be muddy in a 'normal' year. A bit lumpy but my son completed this as his first ever 10k so not that bad. Local slate momento's a lovely touch. Wonderful marshalls that cheered everyone along. Nearly didn't go as it was snowing at home when I got up. So glad I did. A sell-out this year and I think it'll be one that you have to book early to get in next year once word gets out!!

In short: Great goodies, challenging, bargain, shame about the mud
In full: A bargain race at under £15 and chip timed as well. A really good technical t-shirt, medal and egg. The run out is pretty much all downhill, until the 5.45k mark then a killer 1k+ uphill slog. Nice crowds along the way with locals in their gardens clapping. The only downside was the muddy start which was difficult to run on in road shoes, and a slightly less muddy finish.

In short: Lovely scenery, with one hellish hill
In full: Coming from round these parts, I knew the course and the hills, but didn't expect it to be quite so tough running up the hellsih hill at about 6K. Well organised race again from Cotswold Allrunners. Medal and cream egg were lovely but I broke off the cow tail on the run home. Good mix of abilities and all were made very welcome. Thanks for organising another great race CA

In short: great scenic route with one tough hill
In full: my first attempt at this race, i knew it was hilly around here and expected some. after 3k you've done two but the killer one was at 5.5k and was about 1k long. the marshals were nice and friendly and encouraging and the organisation was very good. the speaker at the start was hard to hear over all the chattering nearby. the bespoke slate medal is a great touch aswell.

In short: Local, friendly. mildly challenging
In full: A race to get you into racing: welcoming, family atmosphere, efficient and friendly admin., run on local roads and lanes with a grand final stretch up the main street. The hill at 6-7k demands respect.
