In short: mostly flat fairly fast 10k In full: This was the 2nd time I'd done this and it was pretty much as I remembered from a couple of years ago. There's probably enough of a climb at the start to take the edge off a really fast time, but otherwise this is pretty flat and you can get into a good rhythmn on the 2nd half. (I was using it as practise for a half in September.) Good support along the way and very well marshalled. Like the towel instead of yet another medal/T-shirt. Date of review: August 27, 2012

In short: A nice race with great PB potential In full: A nice undulating race with no real hills, nice route – great PB potential. Friendly marshals and locals. A nice towel as a memento. Only problems were the parking was a bit difficult and the finish was quite narrow so overtaking at the very end was a bit tricky. Date of review: August 30, 2011

In short: really fun, good atmoshpere with a few rolling hills, but nothing daunting. In full: All went well, the start is a little rushed as you battle the gap in the traffic to start the race, but the rest of the roads are easy to navigate. The locals are freindly as you pass the doorsteps and give you a hoop. The end is a little taxing as you try and navigate the unmarshalled finishing striaght, so much so even batman couldn't battle his way through the public to the end without incident. Apparently for the family cheerers-on the PA man was a hoot and made the day, as well as the nippers fun run, so a grand day out for all the family. Date of review: August 28, 2011

In short: A good event all round In full: The organisation of the event again was Faultless except for the scrum at the start, and hoping to expand next year they will have to review this small detail. The start has a slight incline but this only lasts for the first 2k and then it is almost flat. The prize of a towel makes a change from a T Shirt the only small nigle Sedgemoor has been spelt wrong. But overall a good event and i will be back next year. Date of review: August 31, 2010

In short: Slightly undulating but potentially fast 10k In full: The undulating first half may be enough to put you off a PB, but there are no real hills as such and the inclines are all fairly gentle (certainly no more than 50m at any one point). The second half is flat and very fast. The start was a bit of a scramble given the numbers, but things settled down after 250m. Good support along the way, nicely organised and I needed a towel so good momento too. (No room to house any more T-shirts.) Date of review: August 30, 2010

In short: Not as flat as it seems a pb could be on the cards In full: A well organised race, slightly undulating (there are flatter 10k’s around), the marshals were friendly but needed to be a bit more vocal to tired runners, and adding more entries next year is going to make that narrow start even more of a scrum. Is worth doing as a pb is possible, but is not a given if you have pushed yourself for a pb in previous races. Date of review: August 30, 2010

In short: Well organised on a good course with PB potential. In full: A very well organised race over the Somerset levels so rather scenic. Most flat course so PB is possible. As it started on the main (narrow) road in Langport there was a bit of a slow start due to numbers running. If you are going for a PB then get at the front. They are looking at increasing the numbers next year so this may be more of a problem. Rather over subscribed this year with 'on the day' entries running out early-it pays to enter in advance or get there early. Unusual race memento of a commemorative bath towel! Will be happy to race this again next year. Date of review: August 29, 2010

In short: Well worth the 120 mile round trip In full: Excellent marshalling and organisation. The towel is a bit different to the norm. Course was not so much flat as 'not that hilly' but has definate promise of a quick one. First time and I will probably return Date of review: August 29, 2010
