In short: A very enjoyable run around the grounds of Wellington College.
In full: A well organized event, loved the Grandstand finish. One very, very small criticism, the faster runners of the 10k were held up slightly by the slower runners of the 5k race on the trail part of the course. Perhaps a slightly longer time difference between the two starts would have alleviated this. On the whole a very enjoyable morning out. The wife and I will be back for this one next year !

In short: Extremely hot but so beautiful
In full: First time at this event and would definitely go back. Turned up to pay on the day as many others were, registration very smooth. The course takes you around the grounds of Wellington College so it is quiet and traffic free. Mixture of grass, road and woodland trail kept things interesting for the 2 laps. Compere chap on the finish line was quite entertaining and made a point of reading out as many names as possible as people finished. Overall this is a super, friendly, bargain race, no fuss, no frills but an extremely enjoyable morning out.

In short: nice surroundings, the course is tough on your feet
In full: Quite Hazardous through the woods - a few runners stumbled and fell on tree roots, the km markers were very confusing, but good marshalls and lots of supportrs at the beginning and the end.

In short: As good as last year
In full: Second year at this event for me, still as good as I remember. Got there nice and early & missed out on a cuppa. Nice course set within the grounds of Wellington School. No problem with parking or traffic. Nice numbers for the 5Km event too. Will be there next year.

In short: Excellent race, well worth running in.
In full: Enjoyed all aspects of this race. Organisation, race route and atmosphere were excellent and thankfully there was plenty of shade on a nice day to run in.

In short: Hot
In full: Phew, what a scorcher!.. To coin a well used phrase. This was my third outing here and each time it has been extremely well organised in fantastic grounds and this time there was even a fair for the family, so all in all it made all the blood, sweat and tears worth while. I was chasing my tail a little this year and found myself fading near the end, but managed a sprint at the end to secure myself a PB. Which was nice!.. All in all, better than sitting around the house.

In short: Another glorious Sam Run despite the heat and humidity!
In full: Once again did this as a family. 6 year old knocked about 8 mins of his time from last year and 9 year old was also a couple of mins. quicker. This really is a lovely 5K (or 10K I'm sure altho' I'm not a fan of lapped races).
Lots of families there and children running; lots for the non-runners to do while they wait, beautiful off-road location and a worthy cause. Well organised as ever and I even noticed the Ts&Cs say "don't pass on your number without telling us". How civilised/ realistic!

In short: A very nice Sunday morning run.
In full: A nice, flat route cut through traffic free grounds of the College. Good for pb`s & non experts...like myself. Plus always nice to run in the warm sunshine, well organised with supporting marshalling (thanks) & a nice number of runners. Great to see the 5k being well supported. Thanks.
