In short: Nice friendly race In full: First time at New Ware 10. Definitely one for a dry day - I can't imagine how miserable it must have been last year (I was doing a different race on the same day and well remember the conditions!) It's a small and friendly race, and although marketed as multi-terrain I was not expecting so much of the route to be on grass (I am not a fan of grass!) Other than that, it's a very pleasant route - a couple of uphill drags which are almost unnoticeable on the first lap but really quite punishing on the second, and one very narrow uphill section just after the start (and start of the second lap) which slowed down an otherwise speedy getaway.
The marshalls did an excellent job and must be some of the friendliest I've experienced at any race, offering lots of encouragement all the way round the course.
My only negative would be that I wish when offering a technical t-shirt as the only 'takeaway' race organisers would consider supplying them in women's sizes as well as men's. Many female runners are petite and are swamped by even the smallest men's t-shirt. All of mine end up being given to my husband who does not even run. Having worked for my t-shirt, I would very much like to be able to wear it! Date of review: October 13, 2014

In short: A wonderfully organised and very enjoyable race In full: Despite the weather, this was a well organised and thoroughly enjoyable race. A couple of up-hill challenges...but with downhill bits too. Great marshalling and there were lots of supporters along the route. I especially liked the cow that got onto the course. Bring it back next year! The whole race was udderly brilliant! Date of review: October 14, 2013
In short: Fantastic marshalls, fantastic organisation very organised race! In full: Fantastic local run, the marshalls were brilliant throughout in the rain for 1 hours chearing and warning us of wet slippy patches! Never ran a race in the rain and never really done much running on grass/ mud very challenging, few hills did hurt however loads of downhill too. Thank you and hope to run again and again! In short: Really enjoyable despite the weather In full: I had a great time today. The event was so good because of the multitude of marshals, each of whom smiled and encouraged way beyond the call of duty. Thanks to every single one of you - it couldn't have been fun standing around for hours in that weather. See you next year. Date of review: October 13, 2013
In short: Great race-shame about the weather In full: Excellent organisation and attention to detail, even going as far as painting the tree roots red on the course, Every marshal had a smile on the face, and gave words of encouragement, despite the pouring rain-even the one holding the cow, so a big well done to them, Hopefully in 2014 the weather will be better-Recommended!!!
