In short: Hilly, muddy, windy, fantastic views, fantastic organisation. I loved it.
In full: This is tough, make no bones about it. It was my first ultra and getting out of bed on the third day was the hardest bit of the whole event. Mountain climbing, sliding on your butt, mud, wind and rain. What more can you ask for from any race.
Well done VOTWO.

In short: Fantastic event that I was pleased to be part of this year!
In full: This is a tough event but one of the best I have ever taken part in. Like many others, this was my first 3-day multi-stage event & what a great one to choose. The camaraderie was very special between all those taking part. The organisers & all the helpers cannot be praised too highly. The accommodation was good, the food excellent & with free beer, each day didn't seem daunting.
Stage 1 was wet & only the never ending beach at Perrenporth heading to the uphill finish, caused ny legs to complain slightly. Day 2 was a little easier but Day 3 was the hardest with narrow rocky paths to negotiate but the reward of a very welcoming Cornish Pasty on crossing the finish line at Lands End.

An absolutely wonderful event!

In short: This is a special event - do it!
In full: Where do I start!? I absolutely loved every minute of this challenge, despite what was thrown at us....rain, mud, rocks, more mud, paths with rivers running down them, a bit more mud, a waterfall to cross...oh and some more mud, some of it knee deep.
This has to be one of the most amazing challenges I have ever done....I have always said London is my favourite marathon but this is without a doubt my most favourite 'event' ever, so a huge thank you to the Votwo team for such superb organisation and the support of other runners friends and family on the way round all 3 days.
When I found out about this one and it being in one of my most favourite places in the world, Cornwall, I just had to do it as I knew it would be a tough but beautiful course - running the 78.6 miles along the coastal path to Lands End has to be the best way to see this beautiful county and it also lets you discover some of the more hidden and quieter beaches, some of which we will definitely be returning to.
Yes, it is hard....hardest thing for me so far, but it is worth it, and to be honest I was expecting to start running on day 3 with screaming legs, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how good they felt...even the day after too.
Loads of food at the checkpoints and a great selection as well and the yummiest soup at the finish plus a pasty on day 3 - just what you need.
All in all, I am still grinning from this 3 days later and to anyone out there thinking about this one for 2011 - just do it !

In short: tough, tough, tough! but do it anyway . . .
In full: what a trip! Day 1 - take it steady and you'll be fine. Day 2 - some lovely running in the second half - once you've got past all the steps. Day 3 - forget about running, forget about times, just keep moving forwards - slip, slide, climb, fall, walk and stagger to Lands End.
Fabulous atmosphere, fantastic staff and an amazing event.

In short: Jurassic 2010 - Hard as Nails.
In full: Do this if you fancy yourself as a Royal Marine ;)).

Mud, mud and more deep thick clayey mud. Its not just the dinosaurs that got stuck in the mud!!! Huge cliff top ascents and the drops down shear flights of giant steps aint for the fainthearted. Glorious scenery, Day 3 is by far the best and the toughest of the three. Add some last minute sea fog, navigating an inland detour not being able to see hand in front of face, hurling tired legs over waist high sea-groynes, and a final drag through knee deep water on a flooded path and you will get an idea of what this challenge entails.

I travelled down from Scotland for this event and I was not disappointed - a fabulous weekend with lovely friendly people, and a true test of your determination to finish.
