In short: Good potential and something different
In full: I've done a couple of these events and enjoyed this one. Nice that it wasn't too busy as you had the chance to run it rather than stuck behind walkers. I think £20 was a bit steap for a 10k and t-shirt i'll never wear. That said it's well worth doing so I should be back next year.

In short: Hilly, muddy and wet - who could ask for more?
In full: It was a great way to spend a Saturday morning. The motocross circuit was brutal (in a good way), the neck-deep water was a welcome addition and the marshals were friendly and encouraging. In true Grim style, the atmosphere and camaraderie were fantastic.
The only problem, apart from the traditional queues at the loos, was that not enough people entered!

In short: My third or fourth year at this and without doubt, the best one yet.
In full: I've rated this with high PB potential simply because you can only measure this race against itself. The added water "feature" was a blast, the course is excellent, organisation is brilliant, sense of accomplishment is high and I think someone needs to thank the marshalls who were amongst the best I have seen this year. Every year I say I won't do this horrible, leg burning hell ever again. Every year I do!

In short: A different 10k, but well worth it
In full: Really enjoyed the motor cross section, though the hills were pretty tough in both directions. Atmosphere was good, and organisation worked , though there were problems with the final lap of the motor cross bit, and to me it seemed a bit short for the second half, especially after the 7k marker in the field. Car parking was bit disorganised as although they had marshalls showing the way in, once there it was a free for all and i was blocked in by late comers.

In full: A tough and gruelling race that will leave you feeling exhausted but euphoric. Going up the slopes is really hard work, but nothing prepares you for the awesome scary and exciting feeling of trying to stay upright coming down! Will be back next year, a great race.

In short: OMG should have taken my crampons!!
In full: Hills so steep that when you stand at the top of them, they make your stomach turn over! Very tough real sense of achievement just to have finished. Not sure about the marshalls, they looked more like night club bouncers. They just stood there as you ran round, no encouragement at all.
Will do next year and try to improve on this years time.

In short: I'll never do it again... but that does not mean I did not enjoy myself!
In full: After running this last year I promised myself I would never do it again but like a fool I did! It's a great race, really tough, friendly runners, excellent organisation and I would not change a thing. See you next year!

In short: I was just glad it hadn't rained recently
In full: A fun race that was more of a race than an obsticle course just wish I had set off a bit faster than I did. A tadge pricey saying there are no highways costs, but it was great fun and will be back this year.
