In short: Brilliant day - and great reason for coming home!
In full: Brilliant race. It was great to be back home, esp as I hadn't done this one for few years. Weather was brilliant - dry and a bit cloudy so not too warm, then just as the end approached out came the sun - just lovely! The organisation is excellent, my only criticism is that god-awful T shirt! Please - it's time to stop that. No matter what size you order you seem to end up with one that is designed for 6ft tall men. If they insist on doing T shirts, at least have women's fit option, or better still, forget about the T shirt altogether and provide a different sort of memento, like a small towel or something. Other than that, keep it up and hope to be home again for the 2011 race!

In short: WOULDNT MISS IT. WORTH TRAVELING FOR!
In full: As seems to be the theme here, this was also my 3rd GSR. This was the first half I did when I got back into running and has very fond memories for me. This year I drove back from 2 weeks in France on the Friday then drove up to Glasgow from Newcastle on the Sunday to compete. The run is great, and keep an eye out for the Highland Cows in the park! The supporters are fantastic, the organisation great. I agree with previous comments about a proper T-shirt but thats just a minor niggle. Forget the Great North Run, this is the one you want (Its easier to get home after as well!).

In short: Done this race 3 times now, always a great atmosphere and people are friendly. Not the most inspiring of routes, Bella and Pollok Park are nice but apart from that it's pretty dull. Course is flat and good for PB potential as the only hill is going t

In short: A Great Scottish run.
In full: This was my first GSR and it didn't dissapoint. I'm from Glasgow origianlly, now living south of the border. So, to come back up and take part in this well organised race made me immensely proud to be Glaswegian. The atmosphere amongst the runners was great and the spectators all along the route were brilliant. Like everyone else has said, the pipers were a great touch and raised the hairs on the back of the neck with each passing mile. My favourite part of the race was Pollok park. I forgot how scenic the park was and in the glorious weather it was gorgeous. The only things I can be critical about seem trivial because it was a great day. But it would be nice to see some energy drinks on the course. Also with the money paid, give us a decent technical t-shirt not some heavy cotton thing that runs after its first wash. Loved it though, this is a must-do race!

In short: A wee hill or two...
In full: The hill start at the beginning was a bit of a shock to the system the course inself was unduglating to say the least!

I would like Glasgow council to put my £28 entry fee towards improving the roads because they were nothing short of abysmal in places with pot holes and uneven surfaces, not good to run on.

Great atmosphere amongst the runners and spectators. The bag pipers were a great touch.

Very well organised at the start with the colour coded pens and the water bottles at stations were a good size. Only gripe was the spacing out of the water stations, there seemed to be 3 or 4 within the first half and then not another until mile 10/11 at which point I was gasping for a drink!

Nice medal and goody bag, could have done with better directions at the end, I walked though the park only to find I was heading in the wrong direction home one was not amused!

Would have liked a free massage at the end of it, I peered enviously into the massive BHF tent at all the people have massages at the end.

In short: Great run! And we loved the pipers!
In full: I ran the 10k and my fiance ran the half marathon. We had a great time and the massage at the British Heart Foundation tent was the icing on the cake! I'd love to do the half marathon next time. Some jelly sweet handouts would be welcome at the halfway point of the half marathon.
