In short: Some serious steepness In full: This is actually for 2012 but the option isn't there.
Anyway it was great - lovely day, lovely countryside, everybody cheerful, legs like lead on the last hill. Going to keep running up that next year, or die trying.
More signs around the village pointing to the car park would help those of us old fogeys without a satnav. It's a hard place to find. Date of review: November 20, 2012

In short: Back the second year for more! In full: Don't expect a PB. Do expect a great, friendly, well organised race with support all the way round and marshals everywhere you look. Date of review: December 3, 2011

In short: Great organisation, two tough hills in great scenery. Love the race! In full: Second time around and the race is even better organised than before. Atmosphere was great and the course was as tough as I remember it. Two awesome hills the hardest right at the end. Def not one for a PB but is challenge whatever level of running your at. Will be back for as long as my little legs keep me running!

In short: XC race in the stunning Chiltern Hills. Small and friendly, but two very challenging hills to test your mettle, but fantastic downhill sections. In full: Rugged Radnage 10k is a small well organised event deep in the Chiltern Hills, run over primarily on muddy/gravel tracks, so XC shoes are a must. Great atmosphere and very friendly too. First section is flat then a quick descent to another flat section takes you to 4k. Then there's a very steep climb (I fast walked it!), then a great fast descent through the woods for 3k, then on to the road. The last climb across a field is very tough (I didn't run that either), once at the top you only have 500m to go. If you want to test yourself I highly recommend it. Date of review: November 21, 2011

In short: A village based challenging cross country race with lots of mud and some thigh busting hills In full: Really glad I did this but dont look for any PBs as there are a couple of hills, including one in the last half mile which are very challenging. A foggy day but didnt take away from beauty of the woody Chiltern valleys. Good atmosphere and will be back next year. Well done to all the organisers, the cheering marshalls and many locals urging you on up the last hill Date of review: November 20, 2011

In short: Tough n muddy but good fun. In full: First time run and seemed well organised. Course pretty tough, ended up walking on both big hills which I don't normally do. Last hill a killer but a good old fashioned cross-country run. Excellent post race cake/rolls/drinks available. Worth supporting. Date of review: November 22, 2010

In short: Won't forget the two big hills easily - most people walking most of them. Mostly offroad, which was great, bits on road, which was a relief. More marshalls than on an average half marathon! Date of review: November 22, 2010

In short: Fantastic 10K trail race In full: Fantastic 10K trail course but the last hill was a killer!
Very well supported with more marshals per kilometre than I’ve ever seen.

In short: Hills and mud and more hills and mud! Great! In full: You would never know that this was the first ever Rugged Radnage 10K. The organisation was superb, better than many of thie bigger races I have been to. Being fairly local, I knew it was going to be hilly (and muddy) and it didn't disappoint! The last uphill was particularly cruel! This was never going to be a PB course, in fact it was almost a PW for me (not quite!)but that doesn't take away the fact that it was a cracking race. I will be back next year! Date of review: November 21, 2010
