In short: Very enjoyable race. The organisation was good, the marshalls were enthusiastic and it was a scenic route. Uphill section was a fairly gentle rise and nice downhill/level section for last few miles. Nice technical T shirt.

In short: Top Race
In full: I thought it ticked most boxes in that it was well organised, a decent course, within 30 mins of home and a good entry price considering what is being charged elsewhere.
It was fast in places, but the incline at 4 miles puts paid to any PB thoughts.
I enjoyed it though.

In short: Lovely off road race
In full: I really enjoyed this run...maybe that’s because I’m a valley’s boy who’s been excilled to Swansea for the last 20 years! Seeing the pit head lifts from the top of the ascent gave me a real surge of nostalgic pride and I managed to make a PB of 80mins.
I personally thought that the marshal’s were great but I did witness the problem that a few of the runners had with the mis-direction...I was lucky to be slow enough to be with the pack I suppose!
The scenery was uplifting, the variety of surface made it interesting and the big hill was a good challenge right in the middle of the run...nice running t-shirt too.
Looking forward to competing next year, well done to the organisers!

In short: Nice race even with an extra loop.
In full: I enjoyed this despite a marshalling problem which saw a my group add nearly a mile. Shame Ponty wont have a chance to iron out the minor details if they return to the previous course as it was a really nice course with a decent hill to wake you up half way.

In short: A glorious start to a Sunday.
In full: A glorious run despite overcast and damp conditions. The start and gradual descent - down a narrow but picturesque valley, set the tempo but the middle mile reminded you that hills also have ascents.
The trail, predominantly tarmac, was fast and trail shoes were not really needed.
A popular race with obliging and welcoming officials.
An excellent Tshirt in the goody bag.
Most new races experience hiccups - stick with it Ponty - a brave move to embrace the offroad boom. Looking forward to next year's race.
