In short: Bitterly cold -7C as we arrived. Warmed up by a lovely run & welcome soup.
In full: Couldn't believe what we got for a tenner! A fine course, a long-sleeved running top, and soup. Agree with earlier comments re thankyou to cheerful marshals who must have been freezing. At least we got warm by running.

In short: Mighty stuff - Well done Sphinx.
In full: Great venue, plenty of variety, little bit of cruelty thrown in with the bomb craters. Soup was very welcome at the end.

In short: Great run - thanks to Sphinx!
In full: This was a lovely run on a very, very cold day. The course was excellent and must have taken some devising. The soup at the end was really welcome, as was the long sleeved T-shirt which I noticed a number of people wearing as they needed extra layers. Thanks to all involved who must have got so cold standing around there - it really was appreciated.

In short: Well done Sphinx!
In full: Bomb craters, frozen molehills, hurdles - this race had the lot! (Ok, the hurdles were only 30cm high, thanks for small mercies.) It's an absolutely fantastic location, made even more beautiful by the layer of snow / frost. It was EXTREMELY cold though. Anyone who entered on the day, in the knowledge of exactly what the conditions were, deserves extra credit. If anything, the hard ground might have made the course a bit quicker, but those craters? Ouch. I'll definitely make the effort to be back next year.

In short: On a beautifully crisp early winter's morning, runner's heart's were warmed by the stunning christmas card scenery and the wonderfully enthusiastic marshalls despite the sub-zero temperatures. A real pleasure! Thank you!
