In full: We travel up from Somerset for this event and cannot fault the organisation or friendliness on Sunday, we really enjoyed the two guys in the commentary box with their priceless comments before and after the Marathon well done.

In short: Stunning and Challenging
In full: This marathon certainly lives up to it's strap line of 'Britain's most Beautiful'with it's most amazing scenery. However, it has to be one of the most challenging due to the relentless hills that just kept coming with the only flat bit appearing at mile 18!! That said, it was fantastic and although the quads were screaming I loved every part of it. You could certainly tell this race was organised by runners for runners. Lots of very supportive marshals, plenty of water stations and despite the remoteness, supporters were able to get around the course by bus or bike. I'll definitely be back next year but will probably give the Run Bike Run a go.

In short: A very tough marathon with lots of ups and downs but wonderful scenery that helps take the pain away from aching quadriceps!

In short: Certainly a challenge, but definitely worth it
In full: Yes, this is a hard marathon, especially if you are used to long flat road races. None of the 'hills' are actually very big...but there are lots of them(although the hill at 22miles did seem big at the time!)
Saying that, it is a great race, lovely scenery, good organisation(little touches like the massages hit the spot), and very friendly atmosphere.
Thanks to all who made it happen and took part.

In full: As my second marathon I found this tough going with lots of short inclines and declines. The course was well marked and marshalled with plenty of water stations although supporters are sparse because of the remote nature of this run. We were lucky with fantastic weather to complement the scenery. Thank you to all involved for organising such a great event.

In short: Muddy, beautiful, tough but so worth it!
In full: Forget the PB, or taking the bus. This is a must do race for the sheer scenery, pain and medal.
The start was delayed due to the weather and getting people to the start. The rain and drizzle could not stop the feel good factor. Getting out of the parking field was difficult, but to see Steve Cram directing traffic was another highlight.
