In short: Fab 5K Route In full: This was first fun run / race! I have be road running for a few months in the build up to this and it was everything I had hoped for not a huge field, didn't get that feeling of being run over, all the marshal's were so encouraging and it was a lovely morning run, so I will be going back to do it again next year. In short: great In full: great organisation, good markers and marshalls. Hilly (and windy today) but ground was pretty hard so trainers were fine.I didnt know this race existed but as the Candleford Canter which should have been held today was cancelled I opted for this one instead and very glad I did. Shame there werent more people taking part. Date of review: October 27, 2013
In short: 5k trail run In full: My 11 year old son and I did the 5k fun run. The organisation was friendly but a bit confusing - the front runners weren't really sure where they were supposed to go, even at the start! But it was fine once we got going. It is a fairly hilly course, over rough grassland. Pretty much all trail; a short section of country lane at the start and end (a lollipop route). We'll definitely do it again. A Great beginners race - there weren't really any serious runners... I came in 2nd female and I'm not speedy! (1st female was about 10!). Date of review: July 2, 2012
In short: A very challenging 10k In full: A challenging 10k set in the beautiful Cotswold Hills. Hills being the main word here because there’s a big bugger right near the beginning and another steep one at the 7k point. A nice downhill finish makes it all worth while. It was fairly dry when I did it so would have to give it a tougher rating if the weather had been worse. A medal or T shirt might make it more worthwhile turning out for.
