In short: Well organised, great little race. In full: Shame about the weather, otherwise would be very scenic. Everybody really friendly. Nice to run a race with the emphasis on fun with chocolate at the finish! Thank you to all the Marshall's who gave up their time Date of review: April 12, 2015
In short: Cracking little race, shame about the wind In full: Great small race. Well organised and parking perfect next to the start/finish. The course is mildly challenging and had the sea mist lifted it would have provided great views. Nice to run along the cliff top and up through Sewer by Hall grounds. Great mix of runners of all abilities. Date of review: April 3, 2015
In short: Brilliant day :) Fantastic! In full: Really great organisation, lovely organisers, fabulous marshals (thank you!). We entered late so had to pick our numbers up on the day; no rush, no fuss, nothing - the numbers were easily to hand and given with a smile :) The marshals were super, clapping and shouting encouragement for everyone and were super smiley. They were placed at regular intervals so (other than a small mishap!) no one got lost.
I was there with quite a few of my running group, many were there just with their families and some individuals. There was a variety of paces run so it's definitely suitable for all runners and abilities. The route was around the cliff twice, then through the gardens at Sewerby. The course included grass (careful underfoot!), path and bark and went past some wonderful flowers and through woodland.
The car parking area was very reasonable (£2.90 all day) and was right next to the start/finish so no bag drop needed - perfect.
Overall, I really, really enjoyed it and will definitely be back next year. Lovely local feel, without the snobbery that some smaller events are tainted with. A big thanks to the organisers :) Date of review: April 23, 2014
In short: An excellent well-organised race over an unusual distance in a lovely location In full: The second time this race has happened and the second time I've run it! It's very well organised and a lovely scenic, gently undulating course on a mix of tarmac, grass and woodland tracks. A kids race before the main event got everyone in the mood, and there was chocolate goodies and a medal for all finishers. Prizes (a bottle of wine!!) went to the first 3 M & F, and the first in each M & F veteran category. I hope this race keeps coming to Bridlington, I'll definitely be back if it does :) Date of review: April 5, 2013
