In short: Lovely course, Nice medal & T-shirt and overall a great race In full: This is the first time I have participated in this race and I was pleasantly surprised how scenic the course is. The route mostly consisted of quiet undulating country lanes.
The whole event was very well organised, with good facilities at the HQ and the marshals were very supportive.
At the finish we received a nice medal, a florescent Technical T-shirt (great for training in the evenings) and a goody bag which included a choclate bar, packet of crisps, Sweatshop Voucher and a sample of SOS. All this for less than the price of most 10k races, what great value.
Well done Sittingbourne Striders, thanks for a great event.
In short: Great run through Kentish countryside. In full: My second ever race and a great experience had.
Race HQ was very efficient with no problems at all with number collection or baggage. Plenty of enthusiastic marshals on a course where traffic was sharing roads with runners in places (thus the importance of the no headphone rule). Really enjoyable run with some lovely views. Excellent goody bag and chunky medal too. Recommended. Date of review: October 5, 2014
In short: cracking little race In full: Lovely course round the Kent country side, with the final 3 miles broadly downhill. Excellent marshalling and organisation. Great t shirt. Thoroughly recommended. Date of review: October 5, 2014
In short: Glorious run in the Autumn sunshine In full: Thanks to Sittingbourne Striders for a great race. Nice technical teeshirt and friendly marshals. Race HQ very nice too. Date of review: October 7, 2013
In short: Friendly run on a fairly tough route. In full: Second time of running and as before a well organised and friendly run was experienced. The course is very rural and there is a tough hill after about a mile which wakes you up. Having grown up in Sittingbourne it's always good to come back and run this race. I would highly recomend
In short: Friendly and organised - the two most important things for me In full: Well organised and friendly race with a good atmosphere. We were fortunate with a nice day and although it's on roads they were mostly quiet with patient drivers. Not a quick course but good for teaching those who go out too fast a thing or two.
